Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting strategic weapon system and subsystem technical design solutions for our Advanced Programs. As a Systems Engineer IV, you will perform a variety of assignments including requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, and test. A strong candidate will possess at least 10 years’ experience in a Systems Engineering role. About This Role
A Welding Engineer II develops, manages, recommends and coordinates the implementation of a sound welding program and processes through improved weld processes, design specification review, techniques, inspections, and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:

· Plans, organizes and directs the technical aspects of all types of welding processes and issues within the SSC group.
· Directly interface with the product design engineering team to insure design for process and manufacturing requirements are addressed and met and acts as subject matter expert.
· Establishes and documents welding processes in accordance with national and military standards/specifications.
· Develops, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of improved/enhanced processes, techniques, and safety procedures for all welding performed within he company.
· Identifies problems with and identifies the resolution of welding processes, issues, and concerns.
· Performs root cause analysis with emphasis on eliminating problems through design analysis, ergonomic issues, and machine/welding/assembly process improvements including equipment/materials purchasing requirements.
· Keeps abreast of Best Practices and state-of-the-art welding technologies and safety procedures used throughout the industry.
· Serves as a resource in the development of capacity planning, production control and troubleshooting of production welding processes.
· Develops, plans, and administers a welding training class for new and current welders (minimum of 4 times per year).
· Performs all other job related duties as assigned by management.

- Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions.
- Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.
- Climbing on and over bulkheads, up and down ladders.
- Tack welding (kneeling, standing, sitting, lying, overhead burning of steel, dragging torch line)
- Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.
- Lifting of material and tools (jacks, porta-powers, come-a longs, etc. Also loading and unloading of parts.
- Crawling through craft on top of tees and through manholes
- Bending and twisting of your body as needed to get into different compartments.
- Operation of cranes, forklifts
- Use of power tools (gougers, skill saws, cut saws, grinders). All require two hands on tools to operate in safe manner

- Performing the duties of a Structural Shipfitter daily.
- Job duties include but are not limited to measuring, laying out, cutting, grinding, forming and drilling of assorted materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, gasket, rubber, screen, etc.).
- Works from Engineering drawings, sketches and written and verbal instructions.
- Reading from computer screens to retrieve work instructions, blueprints or other documents
- Maintains records, forms and logs as required.
- Typical tools and equipment used in the performance of duties are: MIG and TIG welders, manual hand tools, mechanical, pneumatic, cordless and electric tools including porta power, come a long, clamps, hammers and mauls, gougers, grinders, saws, band saws, drills, tapes and scales.
- Must be capable of handling chemicals and solvents including alcohol, cleaning solvents, cutting oil, tool oil, etc.
- Housekeeping of shop and work area (keeping work area neat and clean) daily.

About This Role
Performs Quality Engineering assignments requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment and ingenuity in making adaptations and modifications. Quality Engineer supports product design activities, planning for quality, production activities, data analysis and development of metrics, root cause and corrective action, and process and product improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Reviews customer contracts on simple to moderately complex projects; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definition.
• Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directives and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
• Interfaces with Supplier Development and Sourcing Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues.
• Participates in product development and design document reviews targeting design for manufacturability
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
• Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc.
• Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s).
• Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).

The Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) Analyst will be supporting the analysis of flight vehicles and their ability to withstand nuclear effects in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. About This Role
Textron Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This individual will work as part of a multidisciplined design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program. The Aero-Thermal Engineering Analyst will be responsible for generating aerodynamic characteristics, aero-thermal heat transfer environments and thermal responses over a wide range of flight conditions, from low speeds up through hypersonic flow fields associated with flight vehicles in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. The position requires some level of expertise in the generation/use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) models, MATLAB and Ansys Fluent Computational Fluids Dynamics (CFD) software tool, as well as an interest in acquiring a working knowledge of Textron Systems legacy aero-thermal computer codes. The analysis techniques used, as well as the compiled results, will be summarized in presentations and detailed design analysis reports.
Responsibilities
- Serve as thermal analyst generating the thermal profiles for exterior/interior structures and payloads, resulting from the environments developed in the flow fields surrounding flight vehicles over a wide range of flight conditions.
- Serve as thermal analyst performing steady-state and/or transient thermal analyses that include various methods of heat transfer, such as conduction, convection, and radiation.
- Analyze and modify multi-material integration approaches for severe thermal structural stress conditions with detailed layered FEA models using isotropic through anisotropic material behavior and a variety of boundary conditions
- Utilize a combination of commercial shelf (COTS) tools (Siemens NX, Ansys Fluent, Ansys Mechanical, MATLAB) and Textron developed software tools to generate the aerodynamic, aerothermal and thermodynamic characteristics described above.
- Define recommended changes to improve the performance/efficiency of aero/thermodynamic design features.
- Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports.
