Mechanical Systems Engineering Sr Manager
Position Summary
The Mechanical Engineering Lead is responsible for directing and integrating all mechanical engineering activities across a complex aerospace development program. This role serves as the senior mechanical authority for the program and provides technical leadership, execution oversight, and cross-functional coordination for mechanical design, systems integration, structural and thermal analysis, verification, and test activities. The Mechanical Engineering Lead ensures technical integrity, requirements compliance, manufacturability, verification readiness, and successful execution throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This role operates as a key member of the program’s engineering leadership team and works closely with program management, chief engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer representatives.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all mechanical engineering activities on the program.
- Establish and maintain the mechanical engineering technical baseline across design, analysis, integration, and test.
- Ensure mechanical system architectures and designs meet performance, reliability, safety, producibility, and maintainability requirements.
- Lead technical decision-making, trade studies, design reviews, and engineering risk assessments.
- Drive resolution of complex technical issues affecting cost, schedule, performance, or integration.
Team and Organizational Leadership
- Lead a multi-disciplinary mechanical engineering organization composed of functional leads in design engineering, systems engineering, mechanical analysis, and test engineering.
- Align engineering priorities and resources across integrated product teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads while fostering strong engineering rigor and accountability.
- Support staffing plans, organizational development, and engineering process improvement initiatives.
Design and Systems Integration
- Oversee development of mechanical hardware, assemblies, mechanisms, structures, and subsystem integration solutions.
- Ensure configuration control and disciplined change management throughout development.
- Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams.
- Ensure requirements traceability and verification planning are fully integrated into design activities.
Analysis and Verification
- Direct structural, thermal, dynamic, fatigue, and other mechanical analyses required to support design maturity and qualification.
- Ensure analytical models and simulation approaches are appropriately validated and correlated.
- Oversee mechanical verification and validation planning, including qualification, environmental, and acceptance testing.
- Review and approve test objectives, procedures, instrumentation plans, and anomaly resolution activities.
Program Execution
- Support program planning, cost estimation, schedule development, and risk management activities.
- Track engineering execution against milestones and technical performance measures.
- Provide regular status updates to program leadership and customers regarding technical progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Support major program reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and qualification reviews.
Customer and Supplier Engagement
- Serve as a primary technical interface for mechanical engineering matters with customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Support supplier technical oversight, design reviews, and issue resolution activities.
- Participate in customer briefings and technical interchange meetings.

About This Role
Textron Systems is hiring a Sr Marketing & Communications (MARCOM) Business Partner who will be based at the company’s Hunt Valley, Md., location. The team designates MARCOM Business Partners for each of our business lines. MARCOM Business Partners serve as a first point of contact (POC) for emerging business line questions and requirements. Of equal importance, they work proactively with the business lines to discuss long-range business strategies including new business capture and keep-it-sold efforts. The Business Partners then engage the broader MARCOM team’s centers of excellence – Creative Services/Digital Development, External Communications, Employee & Leader Communications, Trade Shows & Events – to partner on development, execution and measurement of comprehensive, multichannel MARCOM strategies in support of their business line(s).
As a Sr MARCOM Business Partner, you will:

Position Summary Textron Systems is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Field Service Representative (FSR) with proven expertise in military ground vehicles. The FSR applies deep technical knowledge of vehicle systems to perform hands-on repair, modification, and assembly of Land Systems platforms, and may supervise personnel assigned to assist with these actions. This role is highly dynamic, involving critical support for tactical ground vehicle prototype builds, test events, field retrofits, and high-visibility customer activities such as demonstrations, touchpoints, and trade shows.
Operating as a vital link between Textron Systems and the end-user, the FSR must engage seamlessly with a full range of external customer organizations—spanning all rank and skill levels—as well as internal cross-functional teams including Engineering, Program Management (PM), Production, and Procurement. This position requires extensive travel, including extended domestic (CONUS) and international (OCONUS) deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Field Operations & Troubleshooting: Leverage comprehensive vehicle expertise to perform repairs, modifications, and complete vehicle builds directly at customer locations. Conduct advanced mechanical, electrical, and automotive system troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on complex ground combat platforms.
• Event & Lifecycle Support: Actively support ground vehicle prototype builds, engineering test events, and field retrofits. Represent Textron Systems as a technical vehicle expert at customer demonstrations, operational touchpoints, and industry trade shows.
• Cross-Functional & Customer Engagement: Serve as a primary technical interface, communicating effectively with diverse customer organizations and seamlessly collaborating with internal engineering, PM, production, and procurement teams to drive platform solutions.

• Reporting: Maintain tracking reports for warranty and modification kit control via Computerized Tracking Systems. Research data for vehicle service bulletins and assist in their drafting.

The Crewed Land Systems business is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist for the Slidell, LA location. The Subcontracts Specialist will own a subset of acquisitions for a major defense program, under the supervisor of a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, and work within a highly collaborative and dynamic Crewed Land Systems SCM & Program Office.

The Subcontracts Specialist will have responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Partnering with Program Mgt to consolidate subcontractor contractual requirements and specifications into accurate comprehensive requests for proposal (RFP) prior to the issuance of RFPs to prospective subcontractors.
- Examining bid responses and initiating cost and pricing analysis using results thereof combined with program objectives to develop negotiation strategy and negotiate price, terms and work scope.
- Negotiating, placing, and managing of complex, high dollar subcontracts within a government acquisition environment, including both cost and fixed price material and service type subcontracts.
- Originating formal subcontract documents and coordinating inputs and approvals from both functional and programmatic leadership stakeholders including all pertinent government Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements when applicable.
- Understanding the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and critical path for the supplier subset of the program and executing any mitigation efforts to ensure on-time / early completion of tasking.
- Managing the financial, technical, and schedule requirements of subcontractor program components to deliver products that are technically acceptable on-time and in a cost-effective manner to Contract requirements.
- Monitoring subcontractor performance, identifying issues early on to implement corrective actions with the Supplier Development team

About This Role
Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of all buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role ensures that the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations. The Maintenance Technician coordinates vendor services and implements preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily facility operations, including building maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Specific duties may also include electrical repairs, mechanic work and minor welding; light carpentry, laminating; adhesive bonding of wall panels; painting, maintenance; changing of light bulbs; general electrical and mechanical tasks such as changing oil filters on equipment, etc.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure
- Supervise contractors; assign tasks and monitor performance
- Ensure compliance with safety codes and organizational policies by working with EHS/Safety Manager.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate timely resolutions
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, coordinate and manage maintenance services, manage asset tags and inventory
