The Structural Engineering Analyst will be responsible for performing advanced structural analysis and design of flight vehicles in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. The Analyst will also be responsible for guiding and reviewing structural analysis performed by junior analysts. The position requires extensive expertise in Ansys for structural analysis as well as the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and other analysis software. The analysis techniques used, as well as the compiled results, will be summarized in presentations and detailed design analysis reports.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior structural analyst performing complex static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in the strategic missiles and reentry vehicle area.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in structural analysis techniques and best practices. Review structural analysis models and results produced by the analysis team.
- Utilize a combination of ANSYS and other software tools (both COTS and Textron developed) to generate structural characteristics and responses.
- Define recommended changes to improve the performance/efficiency of structural design features.
- Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports.
- Up to 5% travel may be required.

Job Summary
Textron Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Sourcing Engineer focused on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly as part of the Strategic Outsourcing Strategy. The focus will be engagement with the internal customers to support the development of business opportunities, collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Managers to provide an effective, stable, and successful roadmap for Partnerships and Suppliers for Supply Chain. This individual will be responsible for providing engineering input (technical producibility/DFX, evaluations, assessments, etc.) to support new product development with internal customers, building and acting as the critical conduit to set up the supply base and with the goal to mature the manufacturing readiness. The Senior Sourcing Engineer will identify, build, manage and maintain capable supplier sources, and grow their network and knowledge. They will drive the optimization of design for supplier manufacturability, design for supplier assembly, outsourcing design to cost & quality, and further support prototyping validation/readiness leading to a successful product roadmap for stable transition to production. Responsibilities will also include the collaboration and integration of the outsourcing strategy with other roles within the Supply Chain and Operations Team and demonstrate Sourcing Engineering value in the establishment of suppliers. The Senior Sourcing Engineer will support upstream activities, such as Bill of Material (BOM) development, Plan for every Part initiative (PFEP), inclusion of emerging manufacturing technologies, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), cost validation & estimating. The Senior Sourcing Engineer will work closely with Design Engineering Team/IPT, Engineering Prototype and Test Teams, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to help complete initial prototype builds, analyze supplier results, and act as the technical focal for supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Sourcing Management and with internal customers (Business Development, Programs, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) and provide technical outsourcing recommendations that will support the maturation of business opportunities and program development goals.
· Foster relationships & team positive and engaging attitude while interacting with a diverse and multi-functional workforce during highly paced project development challenges.
· Participate and provide outsourcing technical recommendations during design conceptual reviews.
· Perform outsourcing product & process alignment of technical requirements with all stakeholders
· Identify supplier selection criteria and perform down-selection/trade studies with internal stakeholders.

· Facilitate supplier Kick-off’s - Cadence Meetings, Technical Interchange Meetings, Action Lists, Integrated Schedules, and status reporting using Standard work tools and processes.
· When requested, provide inputs. support and review technical evaluation documentation, populate capability development documentation and participate in Design Reviews (TRR, TIM, PDR, CDR, etc.).
· Collaborate with Supply Chain buyers and Sub-Contract and estimating team to develop outsourcing should-cost analysis.
· Work with preferred suppliers and internal team members to develop products and processes and make effective recommendations to optimize producibility and cost.
· Identify and support resolution of supplier/partner gap analysis based on technical & manufacturing readiness assessments to mature the product into a smooth Transition to Production (TTP)
Work with Supplier Development Engineers to ensure supplier quality flow-down, directives and requirements are communicated clearly and understood.
· Perform requirements validations for capability and manufacturability, manage and perform Suppler Issue/risk assessments (DFMEA/PFMEA), and identify mitigation strategies that improve cost, schedule, and quality performance.
· Help identify performance tracking metrics, developing standardized processes and tools for Product Readiness Reviews (PRR) for assessment analysis & tracking.
· Collaborate supplier/part manufacturing and sourcing plans with IPT (Integrated Project Team), including Sub-contract and Buyers.
· Identify cost savings and cost avoidance information for sourcing improvement opportunities.
· Build, maintain and grow a database of potential supplier sources that meet performance criteria based on business mission objectives.
· Benchmark & work with key suppliers to establish effective yield metrics and performance indicators.
· Support execution and delivery of Supply Chain Rapid Prototyping/Procurement request process.

About This Role
A Manufacturing Senior Outfitter is responsible for overseeing and executing outfitting tasks, such as equipment installation and testing, within a production environment. This position requires strong leadership, inventory control, and the ability to train junior employees. Key responsibilities include guiding teams, ensuring adherence to procedures, managing materials, and performing hands-on outfitting duties. This role combines general manufacturing duties with specialized finishing skills. Work will be performed on a production line, assembling mechanical components, installing assemblies, cables, and wiring harnesses using tools to fit, adjust and inspect components. - Assembly and Installation: Performing complex outfitting duties as required. This can involve installing electrical wiring, interior/exterior components (seats, bumpers, ballistic glass, etc.), and other systems, according to detailed instructions and procedures.
- Equipment Operation: Operating various machinery, hand tools such as wrenches, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment.

- Documentation and Compliance: Accurately completing production documentation and strictly following Standard Work Plans, Safety Guidelines, and regular Quality checks to ensure product integrity and conformance to work instructions.
