We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Welding of aluminum materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions. Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.
- Climbing on and over bulkheads, up and down ladders.
- Tack welding (kneeling, standing, sitting, lying, overhead burning of steel, dragging torch line)
- Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.
- Lifting of material and tools (jacks, porta-powers, come-a longs, etc. Also loading and unloading of parts.
- Crawling through craft on top of tees and through manholes
- Bending and twisting of your body as needed to get into different compartments.
- Operation of cranes, forklifts
- Use of power tools (gougers, skill saws, cut saws, grinders). All require two hands on tools to operate in safe manner
- Walking on tops of frames and tees (uneven walking surfaces)
- Need to be able to work with your hands.
JOB SCOPE:
- Perform all operations within continuous flow-manufacturing cell, utilizing the skills and ability to perform basic adjustments and run all machines, as well as test equipment including burring within the cell, past washing, etching, and utilization of basic gauging/measuring tools. Assist Tool Design, as needed, in new fixture, program readouts, and setup during the period of operation for required quality of parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assigned work in a safely conscious manner.
- Perform assigned work to specify quality and production standards.
- Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.
- Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual’s immediate work area in a clean condition.
- Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.
- Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
- Perform basic adjustments and cooperate machining centers and related equipment to produce product within specified Company processes and procedures.
- To communicate on a timely basis to all relevant personnel any issues found during the daily processing of product and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Work with others across payrolls, functions, and shifts to solve problems in a timely manner.
- Capable to work unsupervised in their area.

The individual should have a working knowledge of mil-spec connectors, backshells, accessories, and wiring. The individual should be proficient in cable shielding techniques, shield termination techniques, cable construction, and design documentation development. Our Design Engineering team is focused on developing and improving new product designs to support currently funded and advanced emerging programs for military customers.

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Assists in the execution of environmental protection, accident prevention/ control and EHS training programs
* Aids in the preparation of scheduling routine and random sampling and analysis to ensure proper wastewater, air, drinking water, air emission and waste management, as appropriate.
* Provide technical support in the transport of hazardous/regulated materials and wastes.
* Reviews daily inventory receipts and ensures that all hazardous materials have been pre-approved for use.
* Under direction of senior management, tracks and prepares reports on injuries, incidents, workers compensation, emissions, effluents, energy consumption and waste generation as required by federal, state and corporate entities.
* Maintain employee EHS training records.
* Assists in safety inspection of equipment and/or audits of processes for conformance with safety and environmental compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, and other federal agencies, the State of Louisiana and Parish and municipal regulatory agencies) and Textron/Textron Systems policy/procedures.
* Participates in injury/incident investigations.
* Assists in the determination of root-cause analysis and recommends corrective/preventive actions to avoid recurrence of said injuries/incidents.
* Provide support to safety management programs.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations, the Factory Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation in a portion of the Hunt Valley, MD production factory.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the assembly team, with resolving the most complex issues involving the manufacturing process
- Provide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviors
- Manage product through all stages of assembly and test, through delivery to customer
- Manage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness
- Ensure compliance and execution associated with the Quality Management Systems
- Plans, organizes and assigns the workflow of the team and ensures that safety and quality standards are met and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methods
- Represents assigned factory areas at program operations meetings
- Instructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problems
- Plans, organizes, and makes work assignments consistent with job classifications and employee ability
- Responsible for staffing of department to meet program needs, and the assessment and development of skills and certifications to meet demand requirements
- Interacts with other Managers and Planners to support program priorities
- Recommends and justifies capital equipment and tooling expenses required to meet departmental and program needs
- Performs administrative tasks including writing employee performance evaluations, analyzing training needs, and monitoring standard work practices in production
