About This Role
Textron System, Electronic Systems is seeking talented Electrical Engineers (EE) to design and develop complex hardware solution for a variety of technical problems. Electrical Engineers engage in a variety of technical projects of moderate scope including schematic capture and circuit card design, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware and firmware design and development, and embedded microcontroller design and development. Additionally, EEs are expected to create, maintain and follow Interface Control Documents (ICDs), specifications and test procedures for circuit card assemblies and system integration.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Solving complex problems that may require research and analysis of alternatives involving many factors.
· Working independently to determine and develop innovative solutions.
· Contributing to and/or ensures the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
· Working with schematic capture tools such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner.
· Designing VHDL code for FPGAs (Altera/IntelPSG and/or Xilinx).
· Developing code for embedded microcontrollers (Atmel, Microchip, etc).
· Writing interface control documents, specifications and test procedures for designs.
· Reporting status including schedule progress and problems/issues.
· Working closely with hardware in a lab setting, and debugging using lab equipment (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Digital Oscilloscope).
You will be part of highly skilled team and need to interface with other team members, including those of other engineering disciplines. About This Role

Electronic Warfare Field Technicians assist our customers in portraying a real-world threat environment by helping them develop and use threat scenarios, models, and simulations in our commercial stimulators. Daily responsibilities include threat and simulation development, hardware and software testing, debugging, repair and operation of the simulation systems. Responsibilities will also include interfacing with customers, attending weekly meetings, and working in a lab environment.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience with Electronics Simulation and/or Testing.
• Knowledge and understanding of RF Engineering.
• Knowledge of Threat Simulation or general Electronic Warfare principles.
• Working experience with RF measurement devices (spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, RF synthesizers, etc).
• Hands-on troubleshooting and testing experience.

About This Role
This position requires the ability to generate or continue the software design and sustainment of modern avionics and radar systems on legacy fighter aircraft and civil aviation aircraft upgrades; resulting in significant aircrew-aircraft interface upgrades to conduct military training to US and its Allies throughout the world. www.atacusa.com
These systems and software upgrades will include integrating capabilities such as Helmet Mounted displays, long range IR and optical systems, electronic warfare systems, air-to-air weapons systems simulators, cockpit integration upgrades, display features upgrades such as video, symbology, secure network data processing, and other extensive legacy avionics modifications. The software integration duties of this position will require a mature knowledge of embedded software for Vehicle Management and Flight Control Computers associated with modern multi-functional displays.
Responsibilities
• Multiple levels will be considered for this position with a minimum of 10 years of electrical power systems and avionics systems software integration experience.
• Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include requirements development and verification, preliminary and detailed design, planning, and testing.
• This position requires the ability to perform formal software development through design of requirements-to-requirements verification with C/C++ code, Linux, and various toolsets, including licensed software such as Gearbox and Venom.
• The position will require participation in the planning, and management of new aircraft systems upgrades in a modification center environment, regularly interfacing with technicians and mechanics to perform avionic system troubleshooting.
• Build, interface, and test multiple avionics systems in a modular architecture to meet MOSA, Safety, Security, Environmental, EMI and performance requirements while working in a very aggressive schedule framework.
• Create data interfaces for Ethernet, serial and various avionics bus protocols and support throughout the entire software development life cycle from requirements definition to product deployment.
• Interface with Electrical System suppliers via specifications and statements of work, including foreign suppliers and OEMs.
• Collaboration with Textron Engineers as required to include avionics, mission systems, and flight controls software to test and verify that electrical systems meet performance requirements when installed.
• Able to stand up, manage, and run a simulation laboratory (SIL) for the software and electrical integration of various systems such as radar, navigation, communications, secure data links, and air data systems.
• Utilize the SIL for the resolution of issues arising from avionics integration, flight testing, EMI testing, and other operational activities.
• Travel to other ATAC facilities to resolve issues that cannot be simulated at the aircraft modification facilities.

About This Role
The Naval Nuclear Propulsion Systems Engineer is a highly motivated, self-driven team player with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, start-up environment. The Systems Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who provides the engineering staff with systems concept of operation including interactions between systems and how each system is trained. The Systems Engineer will conduct test and evaluation activities to verify and validate training system functionality, physical fidelity, performance, and contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with nuclear propulsion plant systems. The ideal candidate will have qualified as an Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) and served as a training instructor to include Team Trainer Operations. Experience at the Nuclear Power Training Unit located in Goose Creek, SC and qualification as plant engineer is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Provide engineering teams with knowledge of all system operations.
• Make recommendations on changes to the training system to keep them concurrent with the boat.
• Analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design modifications or new system applications.
• Review and evaluate existing mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the Navy.

The selected individual will be responsible for developing software solutions for various products in their respective design lifecycle.
The selected candidate will interface with Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering on a regular basis; meanwhile interface with Customers and Suppliers on an as-needed regular basis. Participation in onsite visits to customer or supplier locations as engineering representative may be required on an as-needed basis.
