About This Role
Textron Systems is looking for talented Mechanical Designers to support the Sea Systems and Land Systems organizations. This position will be responsible for creating and checking technical content and data packages for various components and sub-assemblies of our Sea and Land products such as the Common Unmanned Surface Vessel (CUSV) and the Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) as well as their payloads and support equipment.
This role will receive tasking from Senior Designers and Engineers. You will work with engineers on the creation and quality checking of engineering documentation to support production technical data packages (concepts, layouts, drawings, 3D models, parts lists, Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s), vendor parts, etc.) in compliance with Military, ASME, and Company standards and process guides. This role will include cataloging of vendor and supplier-controlled hardware, models, and specifications as well as the design and drawings for new components, welded and machined structures, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and system layouts. The applicant will be expected to quickly develop skills necessary for utilization of company tools (NX-2007, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Matrix and JIRA).
Responsibilities
- Creation of mechanical solid models from conceptual sketches, specification sheets and verbal direction
- Receive, create, and record JIRA tickets for tracking of assignments
- Translation of engineering requirements to source and vendor control documentation
- Cataloging of vendor and supplier-controlled components, models, and specifications
- Release of specifications, drawings, and ECNs within the MATRIX system (Product Lifecycle Management Tool)
- Interface with Product engineers, Manufacturing engineers and Machinists to produce accurate product representations and incorporate design for manufacturability feedback
- Participate in design review meetings
- Perform tolerance calculations (“tolerance stacks”) of detail parts and sub-assemblies
- Ensure compliance with design safety factors including tolerance and product specifications.
- Development of component and subassembly drawings to ASME Y14 standards, inclusive of all planforms, sectional and isometric views, notes and GD&T
- Generation of production drawings for multiple manufacturing methods; including machining, sheet metal forming and weldments
- Generation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams from sketches, drawings, datasheets, and verbal direction
- Produce engineering Bills of Materials in the MATRIX system in concert with product definition release
- Checking of drawings per company and ASME Y14 standards

About This Role
Candidate will serve as an IST Associate/ IST Senior. Successfully completing training, this position will be responsible for technical and operational support in the installation, application and maintenance of unmanned aerial Universal Ground Control Stations in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and technical orders, procedures and regulations. Troubleshoots technical problems and determines solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on Universal Ground Control Station to the customer’s satisfaction. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field changes.
• Performs quality installation, operation, and maintenance to the customer’s satisfaction on electronic equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and various software operating systems.
• Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses system malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
• Accurately interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, coupled with the ability to evaluate, isolate, and repair system malfunctions.
• May assist in on-the-job training (OJT) as necessary.
• Acts as a customer liaison and must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Performs general logistics and functions and reporting.
• Practices ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
• Performs general housekeeping in work area as needed.
• Performs, tracks and monitors parts procurement and inventory status.

About This Role
This is an opportunity to work as a Systems Engineer in our Sea Systems or Land Systems organizations, on products such as our CUSV, Remote Combat Vehicle (RCV), and Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV). This is an interdisciplinary role, enabling the full life cycle development of our products. This role may include supporting development of new products and product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and development of fielding solutions for our military and commercial customers.

About This Role
The Sea Systems team is seeking highly qualified candidates to lead engineering projects supporting our CUSV product development initiatives and our contract programs. The project engineer works primarily with the engineering discipline leads to plan and execute projects to achieve defined objectives within cost and schedule constraints. The project engineer typically leads a multidisciplinary team and provides technical leadership and guidance on development efforts that impact CUSV products and programs. As a member of the Sea System engineering team, the project engineer ensures that the engineering efforts meet customer and internal requirements.
Project engineer roles and responsibilities:
- Develop and manage full-life cycle engineering design and development activities for the CUSV platform.
- Develop and lead execution of project plans.
- Serve as primary technical interface to internal and external customers. Communicate successes, challenges, and status on a regular basis.
- Act as a technical interface between business development, program management, engineering, logistics, and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) for product and program needs.
- Coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities to ensure product technical quality, reliability, and management of asset availability both internally and for our customers.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the assignment and allocation of Program and Project Managers to execute contract work orders and holds the Program team accountable for cost, schedule, performance and quality requirements of the programs and associated Contract Line Items. About This Role
This individual will be responsible for all aspects of production test engineering and transition to production of new test equipment for multiple military and commercial projects. Responsibilities include tactical and strategic planning for the department aligned with business objectives, leadership in the development of new ideas, products, processes and techniques and facilitation of complex projects within boundaries of people, quality, time and value based upon technical review of complex design concepts by technical staff. The successful manager will provide technical direction and coaching to staff and foster an environment of creative employee engagement.
Responsibilities
· Lead the design and development of product acceptance test requirements and strategies, as well as the design and development of Special Test Equipment.
· Manage test engineering production support for Textron Systems diverse product mix, such products being digital, RF, sensors, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical in nature.
· Manage and define measurable best practices and design standards for test equipment development and verification.
· Manage cost accounts, technical and schedule objectives for both “level of effort” support as well as defined projects.
