Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations, the Factory Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation in a portion of the Hunt Valley, MD production factory.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the assembly team, with resolving the most complex issues involving the manufacturing process
- Provide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviors
- Manage product through all stages of assembly and test, through delivery to customer
- Manage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness
- Ensure compliance and execution associated with the Quality Management Systems
- Plans, organizes and assigns the workflow of the team and ensures that safety and quality standards are met and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methods
- Represents assigned factory areas at program operations meetings
- Instructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problems
- Plans, organizes, and makes work assignments consistent with job classifications and employee ability
- Responsible for staffing of department to meet program needs, and the assessment and development of skills and certifications to meet demand requirements
- Interacts with other Managers and Planners to support program priorities
- Recommends and justifies capital equipment and tooling expenses required to meet departmental and program needs
- Performs administrative tasks including writing employee performance evaluations, analyzing training needs, and monitoring standard work practices in production

The Quality Engineer, reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance will perform three primary roles within the Quality Engineering function:
Performs Supplier Quality Engineering assignments requiring interactions with Suppliers to perform QMS audits, process audits and material issue resolution.
Performs Quality Engineering assignments requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment and ingenuity in making adaptations and modifications.
Performs Quality Management Systems assignments requiring AS9100 System auditing, root cause and corrective action analysis and Performs Receiving and In-Process Inspection assignments 10% of the time requiring product verification, documentation validation, and associated systems transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Supports program level activities from Suppliers to the Customer.
- Interfaces with Suppliers to provide guidance and facilitate issue resolution.
- Perform Supplier QMS or Process audits.
- Reviews customer flow down for requirements analysis, identification, and definition.
- Performs inspections using inspection tools and techniques.
- Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s). Performs design document reviews as appropriate for the assigned project(s).
- Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc. Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s).
- Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).
- Utilizes industry and Quality Management System concepts, policies and procedures.
- Assists in gauging and calibration activities as necessary.
- Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.
- Participates in Material Review Board (MRB) disposition activities.
- Utilizes general understanding of industry and military specifications and standards in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
- Utilizes specialized Quality Engineering skills in performance of the assigned tasks.
- Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
- Communicates well, both written and verbal, with all the interfacing functions. Maintains good interpersonal skills and demonstrates leadership skills necessary for the position.
- Conducts internal QMS audits and participates in external registrar or customer audits.
Description
The Textron Systems test team is looking for engineers to support their development, integration, and test activities. This position will be required to work across multiple disciplines to create and maintain hardware setups used to develop and test new hardware (HW) and software (SW) components for multiple aircraft simulation, operator, and maintenance training platforms as used in air, land, and sea. In this position you will have the unique opportunity to work hands on with the latest technology and gain experience working on military and commercial programs while developing your engineering and troubleshooting skills with a Fortune 500 company.
Responsibilities include:
- Support integration of HW and SW system components
- Assist in development of test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
- Execution of test procedures in formal test environment following established procedures and process guides.
- Interface with software and hardware engineering as required to further training platforms
- Provide assistance in system design
- Contribute to the completion of specific technical tasks and/or milestones associated with projects.
- Work in agile and traditional SW development environments.
- Balance and prioritize work as needed to maintain schedule.
- Analyze test data
- Providing guidance to technicians.
- Perform requirements analysis
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT)
- 10-50% travel required depending on the phase of the contracts
The candidate will receive mentoring and guidance from a lead on the team. Primary contact will be with team members and supervisor of record. This position requires excellent written and verbal skills.

- Perform all operations within ac continuous flow-manufacturing cell, operating cutting saw, measuring, utilizing the skills and ability to set up and run all machines, as well as test equipment including burring within the cell, measure and record inspection results using electronic gauging and all other inspection equipment for data collection, and perform penetrant inspection for final acceptance or rejection of product.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Employee(s) will be transferred to other positions during slack periods and/or decreased workload.
- Must be able to perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner with regard to self and others working in the cell.
- Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individuals work area in a clean condition.
- Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
- Set-up and operate machining centers, related equipment and inspection systems (including NDI training) to produce product within company processes and procedures.
- Perform assigned work to specified process including in statistical process control to ensure final product quality.
- Be familiar with and work within applicable company procedures and work instructions relative to job function.
- Communicate on a timely basis to all relevant personnel any issues found during the daily processing of product and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Train or be trained as needed.
- Record keeping as required.

- Properly maintain cell/equipment and to perform all required system checks in accordance with applicable processing procedures and/or work instructions.

Job Summary:
The Director of Supplier Development is responsible for leading strategic and tactical supply chain activities to effectively support all Textron Systems’ businesses. This includes establishing comprehensive and new sourcing strategies, supplier assessment and development, supplier identification, collaborating on long term agreement formation and negotiation strategies and supplier management. This leader will need to work collaboratively across functions to understand the needs of the business and drive supply chain execution and accountability to improve the service level provided to operations and customers, including cost, quality and delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a high-performing supplier development team of professionals focused on optimizing supplier performance, supplier identification to meet internal business needs and partnering with the program management and engineering functions in front-end DfX product development.
- Work closely with program management, engineering, and operations to ensure we meet the needs of the business in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Define the supply chain strategy for products via supplier part bills of materials.
- Present new technologies and products from industry sources to optimize internal product development.

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) seeks fighter pilots to fly various fighter aircraft. ATAC provides airborne Adversary, Red Air, Aggressor and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training support for the Department of Defense.

Job Summary:
Textron Systems-Electronic Systems is looking for an entry level Mechanical Eng Technician for production, calibration, and maintenance of legacy products.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical/electronic/electrical assembly and sub-assembly, processes including precision electrical, mechanical, cable and harness assemblies.
- Will work under the guidance of and aid Senior Technicians and other staff members
- Perform tasks in preparation for assembly such as verify bill of material parts and inspection of pre-assembled parts
