Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Engineer to join our team in supporting strategic weapon systems and subsystem technical design solutions for our Advanced Programs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, planning, execution, and test and evaluation aspects of development programs programs, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and that programs are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, execution, integration, and testing, to develop and implement program plans.
- Manage subsystem design, integration, testing, and schedule requirements of program components to deliver products that are technically acceptable in a cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate and oversee the test and evaluation of strategic weapon system development programs, ensuring compliance with military standards and specifications.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential program challenges.
- Monitor program progress, track milestones, and prepare regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all engineering activities are performed in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and other program-related activities.
- Manage program budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure successful program delivery.

About This Role
Textron Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This individual will work as part of a multidisciplined design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program. The individual will be responsible for developing new analog designs and the transition of those designs into military qualified hardware. The individual should be familiar with Mixed Signal electronics design, switching power supply design, ordnance initiation and high density PWAs. The individual should be familiar with using OrCAD Capture, PSPICE or LTSpice and other simulation products. The Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) Analyst will be supporting the analysis of flight vehicles and their ability to withstand nuclear effects in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. This individual will work as part of a multidisciplined design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program. The position requires some existing knowledge is this area as well as a strong interest in additional on the job learning.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiation hardening analysis for component (WCCA, PBO, SGEMP, MCNP etc.)
- Conduct shielding effectiveness analysis for enclosures
- Develop testing and qualification plans for systems
- Develop test procedures, oversee tests and write test reports
- Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports.

About This Role
A Welding Engineer II develops, manages, recommends and coordinates the implementation of a sound welding program and processes through improved weld processes, design specification review, techniques, inspections, and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
·
· Plans, organizes and directs the technical aspects of all types of welding processes and issues within the SSC group.
· Directly interface with the product design engineering team to insure design for process and manufacturing requirements are addressed and met and acts as subject matter expert.
· Establishes and documents welding processes in accordance with national and military standards/specifications.
· Develops, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of improved/enhanced processes, techniques, and safety procedures for all welding performed within he company.
· Identifies problems with and identifies the resolution of welding processes, issues, and concerns.
· Performs root cause analysis with emphasis on eliminating problems through design analysis, ergonomic issues, and machine/welding/assembly process improvements including equipment/materials purchasing requirements.
· Keeps abreast of Best Practices and state-of-the-art welding technologies and safety procedures used throughout the industry.
· Serves as a resource in the development of capacity planning, production control and troubleshooting of production welding processes.
· Develops, plans, and administers a welding training class for new and current welders (minimum of 4 times per year).
· Performs all other job related duties as assigned by management.

- Performing the duties of a Structural Shipfitter daily.
- Job duties include but are not limited to measuring, laying out, cutting, grinding, forming and drilling of assorted materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, gasket, rubber, screen, etc.).
- Works from Engineering drawings, sketches and written and verbal instructions.
- Reading from computer screens to retrieve work instructions, blueprints or other documents
- Maintains records, forms and logs as required.
- Typical tools and equipment used in the performance of duties are: MIG and TIG welders, manual hand tools, mechanical, pneumatic, cordless and electric tools including porta power, come a long, clamps, hammers and mauls, gougers, grinders, saws, band saws, drills, tapes and scales.
- Must be capable of handling chemicals and solvents including alcohol, cleaning solvents, cutting oil, tool oil, etc.
- Housekeeping of shop and work area (keeping work area neat and clean) daily.

About This Role
Performs Quality Engineering assignments requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment and ingenuity in making adaptations and modifications. Quality Engineer supports product design activities, planning for quality, production activities, data analysis and development of metrics, root cause and corrective action, and process and product improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Reviews customer contracts on simple to moderately complex projects; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definition.
• Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directives and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
• Interfaces with Supplier Development and Sourcing Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues.
• Participates in product development and design document reviews targeting design for manufacturability
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
• Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc.
• Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s).
• Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).
• Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards
• Performs Material Review Board (MRB) disposition and tracking activities.
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
• Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.
• Performs QA estimating for small to medium, less complex projects.

- Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.

SCOPE:
Fly the IAI F-21 Kfir, the MK-58 Hawker Hunter, F-1 Mirage, or the AERO Vodochody L-39 Albatros, in regular support of US Navy, Marine Corps, and US Air Force training and readiness missions. Fly in support of 4th and 5th Generation Fighter operational and conversion syllabus and continuation training missions. Support surface fleet pre-deployment training and large force employment missions.
Navy Contracts: Conduct flight operations from any of ATAC’s four permanent facilities (Newport News Virginia, Pt Mugu NAS California, Fallon NAS California, Kaneohe Bay MCAS Hawaii), or deployed locations. Deploy as required to locations including but not limited to Key West NAS, Fallon NAS, Beaufort MCAS, Jacksonville NAS, Lemoore NAS, Eglin AFB, Charleston Intl Airport, Jacksonville Intl Airport, Cherry Point MCAS, and various USAF, USN, USMC bases throughout Alaska, Guam, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Employ the ATAC fighter aircraft throughout their flight envelope as a surrogate Adversary, Red Air, Aggressor or Close Air Support pilot for US Navy, Marine Corps and USAF aircrew, JTAC, surface fleet, large force employment exercise, or intercept controller training.
- Maintain FAA instrument currency, Second Class medical certification, adversary mission qualifications and associated mission currencies, to include low level, dynamic mission, and unlimited air combat tactics maneuvering in the high-G environment.
- Attend mass briefings, adversary coordination briefings and other pre-flight briefings. Plan and fly adversary missions. Accomplish flight debriefings and attend mass debriefings.
- Adhere to all training rules and pre-briefed maneuvering restrictions.
- Collect and disseminate lessons learned.
- Accomplish necessary ground training prior to flights.
- Deploy as required to support mission requirements.
- Additional Duties: Act as, or support the individual responsible for, pilot Scheduling, Training, NATOPS/Standards & Evaluation, Safety, or other Program Management duties as required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previously DoD Tactically Trained Fighter Pilot
- Previously qualified 4-Ship/Division Flight Lead
- 700 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) of any fixed wing DOD-owned/operated fighter aircraft
- 100 hours PIC at night
- Logged 100 hours PIC time in the past 12 months
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
- FAA Commercial, Airplane Single Engine Land Privileges
- Secret Security Clearance, US Citizen
