For decades, the United States Marine Corps (USMC) has been one of the most formidable forces in the world. Recently, they have been relying on new technological advancements in order to stay ahead of adversaries, and the development of the Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle's (ARV) C4UAS mission sets is a perfect example.

Our Cottonmouth™ ARV is purpose built to provide a rapid, fully manned capability to detect, track and classify targets at long distances, with enhanced situational awareness and biometric recognition capabilities. We have created the Cottonmouth to be more efficient and powerful, to support the USMC and all the C4UAS mission sets they require.

The C4UAS mission sets include intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) equipment to help the USMC track the locations and activities of all targets of interest. We are continuously looking for ways to improve the ARV's capabilities and adding the C4UAS payload to achieve the mission sets of the USMC today and in the future.

The addition of the C4UAS mission sets allow the Cottonmouth to operate freely for extended periods of time, and in some cases, even out of sight of the infantry team. The Cottonmouth ARV is now in the process of testing these mission sets in multiple military exercises, and once it proves to be effective on the battlefield, it could support the USMC’s Force Design 2030 initiative.

At Textron Systems, we want to support our Marines and ensure our Cottonmouth ARV fulfills their requirements, giving them the safest and most advanced technology possible.
