HUNT VALLEY, MD/08 Dec 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, today announced the delivery of Cottonmouth, a vehicle purpose-built for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. The hand-off of the prototype vehicle occurred 01 Dec 2022 at the Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) in Silver Springs, NV. Created to serve as a Naval Sensor Node supporting expeditionary operations, the Cottonmouth vehicle provides lightweight multi-modal capability for the Marines, consistent with the service’s Force Design 2030 vision. A multi-domain command and control suite integrated into the vehicle as part of the C4UAS Mission Role Variant allows it to coordinate data and serve as the quarterback, or battlefield manager, for the modern battlefield. The amphibious 6x6 platform is equipped for sustained reconnaissance with organic unmanned systems capabilities and multi-spectrum sensors which provide seamless communication between the U.S.

Award Supports Modernization of U.S. Army’s Terrain Shaping Capabilities WILMINGTON, MA/December 5, 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that it received a five-year contract valued at $162 million from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey, in connection with the U.S. Army Project Manager Close Combat Systems, to develop a remote command and control capable, anti-vehicle precision munition system that supports the Army’s terrain shaping operations modernization program. Textron Systems will design an advanced anti-vehicle, soldier-in-the-loop munition system to support the Close Terrain Shaping Obstacle (CTSO) Increment 1 Common Anti-Vehicle Munition Based Top Attack System. CTSO Increment 1 fulfills a U.S. Army directive to replace obsolete munitions with next-generation technology that enables soldiers to effectively conduct terrain-shaping operations against peer threats. Last week, Textron Systems successfully supported the U.S. Army’s Project Convergence 2022 (PC22), a multiyear operational experimentation effort focused on bringing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to the battlefield. Textron Systems demonstrated cross domain capabilities, utilizing the Aerosonde® UAS as well as three ground vehicles, a RIPSAW® M5, and two RS2 vehicles.

Each year, the Society of Asian Scientists & Engineers (SASE) hosts the SASE National Convention & STEM Career Fair. The two-and-a-half-day convention features a career fair with more than 70 companies and is the largest convention and career fair for Asian Americans in the United States. Aerosonde® UAS Supporting Fourth U.S. Navy Ship with Extended Range ISR Services HUNT VALLEY, MD/October 20, 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract valued at up to $22 million by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide UAS operational support to the USS Miguel Keith, designated ESB-5. The contract begins in FY23 and has a total potential performance period of five years. This award builds on the four-year extension of USS Hershel “Woody” Williams (ESB-4) earlier this year and joins two DDG-class ships, bringing the total number of U.S. Navy ships supported by the Aerosonde® UAS system to four. Under this contract, Textron Systems will deploy its Aerosonde UAS to provide extended range intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) services with enhanced mission payloads aboard the ESB-5.
