Textron Systems Electronic Systems builds advanced test, simulation, and training solutions that support Electronic Warfare (EW) missions domestic and abroad. What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using languages such as C#, C++, Java, and Python.
• Work with embedded systems, including microcontrollers, GPUs, and FPGA interfaces.
• Lead the development of intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interfaces for complex, multi-functional systems, ensuring alignment with user requirements and technical constraints.
• Integrate AI technology into our product capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers in dynamic, hands-on lab environments to provide critical software expertise during development and troubleshooting phases.
• Debug and troubleshoot using industry-standard lab equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, digital oscilloscopes).
• Work with systems engineers and customers to define system requirements and architecture.
• Contribute to technical sections of proposals.
• Support project planning and monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Lead small software development teams as needed.

Additional Responsibilities for Level IV:

• Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in embedded systems, including microcontrollers, GPUs, and FPGA interfaces.
• Take ownership of the design and development of user-friendly and highly intuitive graphical user interfaces for complex systems, ensuring a seamless experience tailored to system requirements.
• Work with systems engineers and senior stakeholders to define, review, and execute system requirements, architecture, and technical roadmaps, while driving alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Lead project planning activities at a higher scale, including medium-sized teams, and drive project success with superior leadership and technical planning.
• Act as a key advisor and technical leader to improve organizational capabilities, collaborating with executive stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to shape and influence the broader technical vision.

Job Summary:
A Senior Production Planner will develop and manage the execution of the production schedule as a result of line of balance output, taking into consideration the available capacity, material availability and program delivery commitments. A Senior Production Planner communicates to leadership and program managers the manufacturing status, expected completion dates and production risk analysis based on internal and external supply.

Responsibilities: 

• Leads cross-functional collaboration with procurement, production management, quality, engineering, program management, and other supply chain functions to drive strategic planning, scheduling, and execution across development, production, and aftermarket support environments.
• Owns and directs all aspects of production planning and execution within assigned planner codes, including the release of internal manufacturing orders, procurement requisitions, and proactive resolution of supply chain disruptions, internal/external constraints, and material shortages. Provides strategic recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders.
• Provides reporting and recommendations to Sr leadership, ensuring transparency on production progress, material readiness, and potential risks. Develops and implements strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimize bottlenecks, and drive operational efficiency.
• Monitors and optimizes supply chain performance, identifying constraints and implementing solutions to maintain production flow, balance inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement of components based on master schedules and operational demands.
• Serves as a key member of Integrated Product Teams (IPT), providing high-level production planning expertise and influencing decisions to support program milestones, cost targets, and delivery commitments
• Drives the development and execution of comprehensive production plans, analyzing complex supply and demand data to mitigate risks, address critical path constraints, and ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Manages manual demand for top/down & bottom-up releases, facilitates ECN/ECP changes and coordinates production cut-ins. Reviews excess material for possible consumption in other jobs. Creates material transfers, borrow/payback transactions and PO change requests.
• Assists Program Management and Finance on monthly financial reports and provides inputs for estimates to completion
• Proven leadership in supply chain and production planning within fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven environments.
• Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage complex production plans, balancing multiple priorities while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to optimize supply chain operations, mitigate risks, and ensure on-time delivery of products.Proficiency in advanced planning and ERP systems, including Oracle ERP, SAP, or equivalent systems, with the ability to lead system improvements and process automation initiatives.

Textron Systems is seeking engineers of all disciplines to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. It’s expertly designed to defeat threats beyond line of sight and comes complete with cutting-edge technologies that will keep adversaries up at night. Job Summary:
Textron Systems Wilmington, MA is seeking an Electrically focused Manufacturing Engineer in a hands-on, production-facing role responsible for launching new electrically complex defense products into manufacturing. This person will serve as the primary manufacturing engineering support during prototype and initial production builds.

The ideal candidate will work initially with engineering on design reviews and once material is available will work on the shop floor alongside technicians, quality inspectors, and test personnel to ensure safe, repeatable, compliant builds.  This is not a documentation-only role. You will be building, troubleshooting, iterating, and improving in real time alongside technicians and design engineers. You will close the gap between engineering intent and production reality.

About This Role:

•    Translate evolving engineering designs into executable shop-floor instructions.
•    Identify DFM/DFA gaps during early builds and drive design feedback.
•    Lead manufacturing readiness reviews from a production practical standpoint.
•    Work side-by-side with electrical design engineers to isolate faults.
•    Support electrical functional testing, continuity, hipot, and system-level test.
•    Assist in troubleshooting failed test units to component or wiring level.
•    Work closely with test engineering to refine acceptance procedures.
•    Identify bottlenecks before rate increases.
•    Improve yield and reduce rework from first builds forward.
•    Standardize repeatable processes as the design stabilizes.
•    Develop quick-turn fixtures, harness boards, and assembly aids.
•    Help build the manufacturing foundation for future growth.
•    Drive root cause investigations and quickly provide input to close corrective actions.
•    Implement poka-yoke and visual controls early.
•    Implement corrective actions that improve yield and reduce rework.
•    Define traceability systems appropriate for defense hardware.
•    Prepare hardware for qualification, environmental, and customer testing.
