(NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that the Aerosonde® Unmanned Aircraft System aboard the USS Miguel Keith, designated ESB 5, took its first operational flight. The inaugural mission follows an October 2022 contract award by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide unmanned aviation support aboard the ship for up to five years. The ESB 5 supports a broad range of military and aviation operations as part of the Forward Deployed Naval Force. Textron Systems is tasked to deploy its Aerosonde UAS to provide extended range intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) services with enhanced mission payloads aboard the ESB 5. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract valued up to $18.3 million including all options by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide continued UAS operations support for the USS Hershel “Woody” Williams, designated ESB-4. The one-year base contract includes two 12-month options and two six-month options, for a total potential performance period of four years. The company was originally selected to support the ESB-4 in 2018.

(NYSE: TXT) company, today announced that it has been pre-awarded the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) prototype agreement for its purpose-built CottonmouthTM vehicle. Through the 22-month period of performance, Textron Systems will produce a Cottonmouth vehicle for the Marine Corps that will go through rigorous testing and evaluation. The data gained from the ARV competitive prototyping efforts will be used to inform a USMC decision point in fiscal year 2023.
