Newport News, VA – August 10, 2022 — Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), part of the Textron Systems segment of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), announced today that it has been awarded a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Navy to provide chase flight services for the F-35 program.

WILMINGTON, MA/August 3, 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that it received a five-year contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey which was executed in support of the U.S. Army Project Manager Close Combat Systems. The contract is valued up to $353,980,000 to produce the XM204 Top Attack Munition, an anti-vehicle terrain shaping system, and associated trainers. The XM204 precision anti-vehicle capability supports modernization of the Army’s terrain shaping and counter-mobility capabilities.
The five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) production contract was awarded in response to a U.S. Army Europe Operational Needs Statement and follows a 2019 development and qualification contract also awarded to Textron Systems. In addition, the first delivery order has been awarded under this IDIQ contract, which would see delivery in fiscal year 2023 of XM204 Munitions and XM98 Emplacement

Textron Systems and Boston Materials Engage on Hypersonics The next generation of hypersonic platforms and re-entry vehicles require advanced but affordable high-temperature materials for thermal protection. Development and industrialization of advanced, high-temperature composites has long been a hallmark for Textron Systems, whose high-performance composite thermal protection systems have been used on applications from the Apollo Missions program to Minuteman III to NASA deep-space probes.

On July 19, Textron Systems’ Electronic Systems team held an A2PATS® user group meeting at their Hunt Valley, Maryland, offices. This annual event had been put on hold for the past two years, and the team was happy to hold the meeting once again in person and gather with users from across the world. “We’re pleased to welcome back our customers and to bring in our new customers. We love being able to interact with them and are proud of what we were able to accomplish during the conference,” said Mike Paturzo, Vice President of Global Sales and Strategy for Electronic Systems. “The biggest benefit is that we’re able to have that face time with our customers to talk through what they’re using the system for and the challenges we can help solve.”

Textron Systems' Ship to Shore Connectors, LCAC 103 and 104, have received a Lift of Opportunity (LOO) aboard the US Navy's newest LPD, USS Fort Lauderdale, to their homeport in Little Creek, Virginia. The craft will remain aboard the LPD until after its commissioning and will eventually be delivered to Assault Craft Unit 4 in Little Creek, Virginia, LCAC 103 and 104 will undergo final post-delivery tests before introduction into the fleet in support of the Navy and Marine Corps' maritime missions. The 100-class LCAC provides essential agility, delivering equipment, supplies, and vehicles from ships to the beach in support of a wide range of mission sets from amphibious assault to humanitarian efforts.
