Cody’s Story: Building Skillsets at Howe & Howe

October 14, 2026

At Textron Systems and Howe & Howe, Inc., our people power the precision, innovation and teamwork behind every vehicle we build. That spirit is embodied by Senior Logistics Coordinator Cody, who joined the company three years ago and has steadily expanded his role into a critical part of our supply chain and operations.

Cody’s path to Howe & Howe began at Maine Maritime Academy, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in international business and logistics. Those fundamentals laid the groundwork for his early responsibilities in basic shipping and receiving. But from the start, Cody was eager to learn more, ask questions and take on new challenges.

Today, his day-to-day work touches nearly every corner of Howe & Howe’s logistics operations. From delivering mail and managing warehouse inventory to coordinating the shipment of our largest vehicles, Cody manages shipping and receiving with careful attention and consistency. He also plays a key role in import and export compliance, ensuring projects meet complex regulations while keeping things moving efficiently. Recordkeeping, packing lists, invoices, order tracking—he handles it all with a detail-oriented approach that strengthens the company’s visibility and planning.

As Cody’s responsibilities have grown, so has the impact he’s made on the business. He describes his role as helping the organization shift toward a more organized and transparent work environment. By improving order tracking, enhancing cost visibility and encouraging more dialogue around logistics planning, he’s helped teams operate more smoothly and collaboratively. “I have found new ways to incorporate the fundamentals I learned in college and apply that knowledge in my day-to-day duties,” he says. “Now I have a more integrated role in supply chain logistics, warehouse management and import and exports.”

For Cody, the most meaningful part of working at Howe & Howe is the strong team culture. He shares that the environment is supportive, collaborative and welcoming—where managers, engineers and floor employees work side-by-side and everyone’s ideas matter. Even though he isn’t physically building the vehicles on the shop floor, he feels deeply connected to the process. Team members explain their work, answer questions and share insights simply because helping one another is part of who we are. “The environment here makes me want to do the best job I can because I know everyone else is doing the same,” Cody says. “I don’t want to let them down.”

For those considering joining Howe & Howe or Textron Systems, Cody’s advice is simple: ask questions, be yourself and get to know the people around you. “Everyone here is very easy to talk to and truly great people. Never be scared to start a conversation with anyone in the building. Also, be yourself—we’re all a little wacky here, but in a good way.”

Employees like Cody help Howe & Howe and Textron Systems continually raise the bar. His commitment, curiosity and teamwork-centered approach reflect the culture that makes our company thrive.
