This position will be part of the Systems Integration and Test (SIT) Engineering team focusing on supporting the Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC) Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), next generation hovercraft program. Primary duties would be supporting the rollout of production crafts into testing; troubleshooting a variety of multi-discipline, complex issues throughout testing and systems integration; driving continuous improvement through feedback to design/quality/manufacturing and root cause analysis (RCA); and supporting fielded crafts in concert with our Navy customer.
You will be part of highly skilled, multi-discipline engineering team and, as such, will need the ability to effectively interface and communicate with other team members and across engineering disciplines. This also extends out to the broader team of pilots, test conductors, technicians, and other engineering groups. You will have the opportunity to travel and to contribute to the effectiveness and reliability of systems that are saving lives and protecting our warfighters.
Responsibilities
- Review engineering system designs: models, drawings, design intents, and specifications for assessment of systems
- Support the Navy customer to maximize uptime and minimize recurrence of issues.
- Create, maintain, and communicate thorough technical documentation on all efforts
- Analyze and maintain interface control documents and other technical documents required to troubleshoot the craft
- Familiarize and analyze applicable MIL-STD, MIL-DTL, MIL-HDBK, and similar standards documentation related to SSC design
- Attend meetings to deliver, schedule, and review technical status
- Independently assess complex issues crossing multiple craft systems
- Apply methodical processes and documentation to resolve issues
- Analyze electrical, mechanical drawings, and apply data to ongoing troubleshooting
- Analyze textual vendor and customer documentation and apply to ongoing troubleshooting
- Develop imaginative, thorough, practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult system-of-systems problems
- Serve as a technical resource to others within the work group, department, and the organization.
- Conduct liaison activities with subcontractors and external manufacturers, as well as internal and external customers at all levels.

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
The A2PATS provides real RF simulations of signals and effects a radar receiver would experience when in operational use
§ Development of embedded firmware (microcontroller, C language) and/or FPGA and digital design
§ Schematic capture for circuit card designs

About This Role
This is an opportunity to work as a Test Engineer in our Land Systems organizations on products such Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) and other unmanned systems. Our teams are engaged in multiple cutting edge development programs for defense applications. This is an interdisciplinary role, enabling the full life cycle development of our products. This role may include supporting development of new products and product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and development of fielding solutions for our military and commercial customers. Required experience includes hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, and successfully working within a collaborative team environment. A desire to take ownership of design efforts to ensure integration of new technology into our vehicles is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting full-lifecycle engineering design and development activities on established UxS and disruptive new products.
• Using technical acumen and problem-solving skills toward the execution of systems engineering tasks – including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, impact assessments, systems modeling (SysML), trade studies, requirements derivation, design review support, integration planning, test, verification, risk management, and engineering analysis.
• Preparing and presenting systems engineering work products to internal review teams and external customers at program milestone reviews.
• Interacting daily with technical leads, program managers, planners, technicians, and other engineers.
• Driving tasks to completion independently – aided by appropriate supervision and mentoring.
• Collaborating with others within the workgroup, with other departments, and the customer.

About This Role
The Electronic Systems (ES) engineering team has an immediate opening for a mid-senior level systems engineer to support the growing Electronic Warfare (EW) Simulation Team. The EW & Sim team is responsible for design and development of the A2PATS family of product which includes our EW simulation products. As a member of the EW Simulation Team, the systems engineer supports engineering development projects to extend our product capabilities and release them to our military and commercial customers. A mid-to-senior level systems engineer candidate possesses an advanced knowledge base in multiple engineering disciplines through both experience and education and is capable of able to execute in both Internal Research & Development (IR&D) and production environments. As a systems engineer, you will perform a variety of assignments including requirements analysis, architecture design, systems integration, new product integration, and system test. As a lead systems engineer, you will perform standard systems engineering tasks with the addition of project lead responsibilities such as project engineering, task lead, and potential management of direct reports.

About this Role:
This position supports our A2PATS Family of Products. A2PATS Field Engineers play a vital role in the successful deployment, installation, and sustainment of our cutting-edge threat simulation systems. Your extensive experience and expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) and Electronic Warfare (EW) simulations will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our systems to meet Customer requirements. This position is based at our customer site in Manchester, New Hampshire. Occasional travel to other customer locations and to Textron Systems headquarters outside of Baltimore, Maryland may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment, installation, integration and sustainment of EW threat simulation systems at customer sites, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and industry best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive system testing, advanced troubleshooting, and rigorous performance evaluation of the equipment, effectively identifying and resolving complex technical issues.

The candidate should be comfortable as a cognizant designer of complex printed circuit boards utilizing micro-processors & controllers, high efficiency power supply design, analog signal conditioning, sensors, and RF components.
