About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Support the Navy customer to maximize up time and minimize recurrence of issues
Review engineering drawings, designs, specifications and products for assessment of system
Create, maintain, and communicate through documentation on all efforts
Analyze and maintain interface control documents and other technical documents required to troubleshoot the craft
Familiarize and analyze applicable MIL-STD, MIL-DTL, MIL-HDBK, and similar standards documentation related to craft design
Independently assess complex issues crossing multiple craft systems
Analyze electrical, mechanical drawings and apply data to ongoing troubleshooting
Analyze textual vendor and customer documentation and apply to ongoing troubleshooting
Develop imaginative, thorough, practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult system or systems problems

Responsibilities
· Develop requirements and specifications for mechanical and electrical systems
· Develop certification plans and supporting artifacts to meet applicable regulatory compliance of these complex systems
· Develop trade study analysis with adequate support and supervision of senior engineers
· Testing of systems for both feasibility (engineering level) and certification (for-credit testing)
· Generate test reports based on test results and establish congruence from engineering leaders and/or Lycoming Organization Designation Authority (ODA)
· Assist with familiarization briefs to internal/external customers and cross-functional teams for alignment in scope of a project
· Assist Lycoming product support team with field related troubleshooting of current engine systems as an engineering representative
· Assist Lycoming production floor with engineering needs as required

About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
Perform a variety of engineering assignments related to new product development and/or enhancement of existing products
Creation and maintenance of engine bill of materials (BOM)
Review engineering changes / revisions to both engineering procedures and drawings
Create and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) using PLM software
Consult with customers on designs and specifications
Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort
Coordinate activities with Director, Configuration Management and Regulations to ensure business and development goals will be achieved?
May be required to interface with suppliers

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Creating electrical schematics, harnessing design, and drawings in CAD system such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks?
Performing engineering calculations, writing specifications, formulating sketches, testing criteria, failure analysis, and cost estimates. ?
Providing technical support to both internal and external customers for technical data package delivery.?
Supporting Prototype build, troubleshooting and documentation as required.?
Understanding customer requirements, and provide design solutions?
Familiarity with Military standard and specifications then incorporating them into the system design
Interest in automotive design related field?
