About This Role
The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for delivering strategic and tactical supply chain activities for our supply base to effectively support all Textron Systems’ businesses across all site locations with a focus on overall external supply chain improvement.
Each team member will develop optimized external supply chain capability, enabling the highest levels of competition among the highest performing suppliers, geographically located; to optimally support our business throughout all phases of the product life cycle with a particular focus on Quality.
This role includes performing: - supplier assessments and development evaluations, supplier identification, and supplier management tasks. Working collaboratively across all product domains to understand the needs of the business and drive supply chain execution and accountability to the highest attainable level

The network will further extend to capture internal customers in program management, engineering, and manufacturing, whilst teaming with procurement and Quality to provide effective execution.
The Supplier Development Engineer is specifically responsible for driving results with our suppliers across multiple supply categories including mechanical and/or electrical parts and assemblies in all facets of performance, including cost, delivery and quality. This role will report directly to the Manager of Supplier Development within the Supply Chain organization.
Responsibilities
· Develop Relationships throughout the Supply Base and connect that network with Internal customers and drive Quality into the foundation for execution
· Perform and/or participate in source qualification by performing quality management system surveys and special process surveys.
· Solicit supplier inputs into product design, considering design for manufacturability, cost, reliability, parts availability, and more.
· Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA) as appropriate for suppliers.
· Coordinate the effective flow-downs of contractual requirements to suppliers along with alignment on quality codes and performance expectations.
· Execute supplier development strategies balanced across all domains.
· Partner with Sourcing Engineering, Supplier Management, Buyers, and Quality Engineering to ensure a smooth transition to the identified source enabling seamless execution via leading effective Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
· Coordinate with Quality Engineering inspection requirements of suppliers and execute inspection requirements such as first article inspection, managing nonconforming materials, troubleshooting, processing material review board actions, etc.
· Lead management of critical supplier issues to improve overall execution.
· Lead risk assessments via FMEA/Risk Cubes, RCCA, countermeasures and supplier scorecard reviews.
· Perform data analysis and issue reports on supplier performance to ensure suppliers meet and maintain expected performance levels inclusive of quality and delivery.

About This Role
The role requires AS9100-based Quality Management System (QMS) knowledge.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the QMS, managing the Quality Engineering group, program quality, and all quality metrics.
Must collaborate with Production Control, Manufacturing, Program Management, Contracts, Engineering, HR, and senior leadership.

· Lead a team of Quality Engineers while developing the next generation of Quality Engineers and future technical and organizational leaders
· Promote an “end to end” focus on Lean & Quality – from suppliers, through our Manufacturing Processes, and ultimately – to our Internal and External customers
· Ensure all AS9100QMS processes are fully documented, properly executed, and routinely audited with objective evidence of compliance
· Assure the requirements of our AS9100 and other quality management systems are maintained, including quality reporting, corrective/preventative actions, Internal Auditing System and customer compliant tracking.
· Lead timely and effective root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
· Drive use of standardized lean and quality tools, share best practices, and benchmark other world class companies to elevate operational excellence.

SUMMARY
The Sr. Quality Engineer will oversee quality assurance processes, implement quality control measures, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with Six Sigma methodologies, AS9100 standards, and FAA regulatory requirements. The selected individual will interpret welds requirements from various processes according with but not limited to Military Standard 2035, AWS Specifications, and ASME Section IV.
Responsibilities:
• Able to perform the duties as site Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) if required.
• Set up and utilize radiographic testing equipment.

Responsibilities:
· Inspection and test of parts, materials, components, and systems in one or more of the following areas: Receiving, Shipping, Stores, Weld/Fabrication, Assembly, Testing, Calibration, Radiography, and Coating Inspections.
· Visually examinations by means of instruments, gauges, jigs, templates, or other measuring devices to include nondestructive test methods to insure adherence to standards, specifications, drawing, etc.

About This Role
The Quality Engineer supports aerospace and defense programs by applying Quality Engineering principles, materials expertise, and disciplined systems thinking within an AS9100-regulated environment. This role contributes to mission-critical product development and production readiness through quality planning, risk mitigation, root cause and corrective action, data-driven decision making, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and contract requirements. Assignments involve moderately complex defense and aerospace hardware requiring independent execution and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities:
• Review customer contracts and technical data packages (TDPs) for simple to moderately complex aerospace/defense programs; perform requirements analysis and documentation using compliance matrices.
• Develop Quality Plans, QA Directives, Inspection Plans, and other contractually required quality artifacts aligned with AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering to address supplier escapes, source inspection, and flow-down of requirements to the supply base.
• Maintain direct communication with customer Quality Assurance representatives, including DCMA, prime contractors, or government quality contacts as applicable.
• Define inspection and test requirements using industry-standard tools, techniques, and acceptance criteria appropriate for aerospace hardware.
• Participate in engineering design reviews focusing on Design for Manufacturability, Design for Inspection, Design for Reliability, and overall DFX compliance.
• Support or lead root cause investigations (5-Why, fishbone, 8D, DMAIC) to address nonconformances, flight hardware deviations, or field returns.

Specialist in electrical component and system installation inspection to determine adherence to standards, specifications, and drawing requirements. Prior experience in military electrical system installation preferred, with capability to detect defects in complex circuitry and equipment installations. Experience with MIL-STD acceptance criteria required. Marine experience preferred.

- Approach assignments with a high ethical resolve, ensuring reputable standing with our onsite customers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, hookup sheets, and process plans to determine product acceptability.
- Ability to review MIL-STD requirements, with the help of Quality Engineering, to determine product conformance when unclear.
- Ability to examine various cable termination types (lugs, pins, cannon plugs, tinel-lock rings, etc.) to detect errors and workmanship defects.
- Ability to examine various electrical distribution system component installations (screw terminals, circuit breakers, switch boards, breakers, fuses, etc.) to detect errors and workmanship defects.
- Ability to examine cable grooming and routing to detect common defects such as bend radius and chaffing.
- Ability to examine cable panel installations for hook-up and cable landing accuracy to requirement.
- Familiarity with electrical tools and ability to recognize when the incorrect tools are being utilized to complete the work.
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment for verification of circuitry.
- Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

An Quality Engineer I is responsible for assuring that Company and products adequately meet the objectives of the contract or sales agreement by maintaining surveillance over all phases of the product's cycle from design to successful fulfillment of intended objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Uses operations research techniques such as cost analysis, experimentation, gaming, simulation, flow charting, information theory, and advanced mathematics in developing optimum quality plans.
· Develops overall quality plans using the systems concept identifying in terms of the product involved, general instructions, test and sampling procedures, specific parts and assembly instructions, material disposition, records, tables, charts, and graphs required.
· Acts as an advisor in all phases of statistical quality control, develops new statistical techniques and interprets significance of resulting data.
· Reviews Engineering and Manufacturing information such as new and revised designs, specifications and bills of materials; production, tool and test equipment drawings; production and tool plans; operation and routing sheets; production, storage, and shipping methods; and facility and floor space requirements.
