About This Role
This role is in Textron System’s Land Systems - Crewed Land business area.
The crwed team within Land Systems, Hunt Valley are seeking Software Engineering interns to join our team for the summer! We want engineers who have the passion to apply a diverse set of technologies and skills to create indispensable solutions. Work is conducted on research and development initiatives that enable our land products and programs. Our interns are integral members of our inter-disciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Tasks related to the full software development life cycle including design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery.
- Working within a medium size software development team on tasks related to military vehicle system development

Responsibilities:?
- The Financial Analyst (FA) Intern conducts analysis, maintains forecasts, budgets, and provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss actuals and forecasts as required.
- The FA Intern will be an integral part of the finance team by: Maintaining product line measurements, creating/maintaining standard financial reports for the finance team and other functions within the business, and will provide daily support to cross functional teams.
- Assist in month end/quarter end close process and provide support for respective deliverables.
- Participate in Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) documentation/review process
- Conduct bill of material (BOM) audits and develop report(s) and recommendations for corrective actions
- Other duties as assigned

About This Role

- The Pricing & Estimating Financial Analyst Intern will support proposal team members in the development of cost proposals and/or ad hoc assignments as directed by management. This Analyst will participate in multiple activities to support fully-supported, compliant proposals and other miscellaneous tasks to assist department personnel with all required events that ensure customer requests are met.
- Specific tasks include: analysis of labor hour estimates, material estimates, travel, and other functional estimates; ProPricer data inputs and report generation; assist in preparing management review slides. Follow established procedures and work under team direction. Other duties as assigned.

- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for the fabrication and assembly of detail parts and end item products
- Interface with the production floor to resolve design and assembly issues
- Research new equipment, technology, and methods of manufacturing
- Support projects to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost
- Analyze specifications, drawings, procedures, and schematics for manufacturing requirements
- Provide component and system level design inputs based on Design-for-Manufacturability and support the incorporation of engineering changes and product improvements
