Textron Systems Selected for U.S. Marine Corps Advance Reconnaissance Vehicle Pre-Award
HUNT VALLEY, MD. AND SLIDELL, LA. – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, today announced that it has been pre-awarded the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) prototype agreement for its purpose-built CottonmouthTM vehicle. Through the 22-month period of performance, Textron Systems will produce a Cottonmouth vehicle for the Marine Corps that will go through rigorous testing and evaluation. The data gained from the ARV competitive prototyping efforts will be used to inform a USMC decision point in fiscal year 2023.

HUNT VALLEY, MD/08 Dec 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, today announced the delivery of Cottonmouth, a vehicle purpose-built for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. The hand-off of the prototype vehicle occurred 01 Dec 2022 at the Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) in Silver Springs, NV. Created to serve as a Naval Sensor Node supporting expeditionary operations, the Cottonmouth vehicle provides lightweight multi-modal capability for the Marines, consistent with the service’s Force Design 2030 vision. A multi-domain command and control suite integrated into the vehicle as part of the C4UAS Mission Role Variant allows it to coordinate data and serve as the quarterback, or battlefield manager, for the modern battlefield. The amphibious 6x6 platform is equipped for sustained reconnaissance with organic unmanned systems capabilities and multi-spectrum sensors which provide seamless communication between the U.S.

Aerosonde® UAS Supporting Fourth U.S. Navy Ship with Extended Range ISR Services HUNT VALLEY, MD/October 20, 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract valued at up to $22 million by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide UAS operational support to the USS Miguel Keith, designated ESB-5. Brings Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Capability to Domestic Security HUNT VALLEY, MD/ October 11, 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today the first operational flights of its Aerosonde® Unmanned Air System (UAS) for the Nigerian Army. The Aerosonde UAS hosts intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities and will be the first UAS capability of its kind in country.
Nigeria took delivery of multiple Aerosonde 4.7 Fixed Wing UAS vehicles to enhance the nation’s domestic security and for ISR missions. Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) services are part of the agreement and include providing on-going sustainment, logistics services, parts and repairs support, technical publication updates and continuous asset support for the duration of the contract.

WILMINGTON, MA/August 3, 2022 – Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that it received a five-year contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey which was executed in support of the U.S. Army Project Manager Close Combat Systems. The contract is valued up to $353,980,000 to produce the XM204 Top Attack Munition, an anti-vehicle terrain shaping system, and associated trainers. The XM204 precision anti-vehicle capability supports modernization of the Army’s terrain shaping and counter-mobility capabilities.
The five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) production contract was awarded in response to a U.S. Army Europe Operational Needs Statement and follows a 2019 development and qualification contract also awarded to Textron Systems. In addition, the first delivery order has been awarded under this IDIQ contract, which would see delivery in fiscal year 2023 of XM204 Munitions and XM98 Emplacement
