About This Role
Textron Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Sourcing Engineer with a focus on Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) to support its Strategic Outsourcing Strategy. This role partners with internal customers to identify and develop business opportunities while collaborating with Strategic Sourcing Managers to build effective, stable supplier partnerships and roadmaps.
The Senior Sourcing Engineer will serve as the primary technical liaison between engineering and supply chain teams. The role includes providing engineering input on technical producibility and Design for X (DFX) principles to support new product development. It also involves identifying, qualifying, and managing capable suppliers, as well as driving design optimization for supplier manufacturability, assembly, cost, and quality. Additionally, the Senior Sourcing Engineer will support prototyping validation and manufacturing readiness activities to enable a stable transition to production.
In addition, the Senior Sourcing Engineer will contribute to upstream supply chain activities, including Bill of Materials (BOM) development, the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) initiative, integration of emerging manufacturing technologies, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices, and cost validation and estimating.
This position requires close collaboration with Design Engineering (including Integrated Product Teams), Engineering Prototype and Test teams, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to support prototype builds, analyze supplier performance, and serve as the technical focal point for supplier management.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with Sourcing Management and with internal customers (Business Development, Programs, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) to provide technical outsourcing recommendations that will support the maturation of business opportunities and program development goals.
· Foster relationships and engaging attitude while interacting with a diverse and multi-functional workforce during highly paced project development challenges.
· Participate and provide outsourcing technical recommendations during design conceptual reviews.
· Align product and process technical requirements with all stakeholders throughout the outsourcing process.
· Identify supplier selection criteria and perform down-selection/trade studies with internal stakeholders.
· Support the development of technical documentation and requirements (specifications, statements of work, etc.) leading to timely release of information to the supply base.
· Facilitate supplier Kick-off Cadence Meetings, Technical Interchange Meetings, Action Lists, Integrated Schedules, and status reporting using Standard work tools and processes.
· When requested, provide technical input and support in the review of technical evaluation documentation, complete capability development documentation, and participate in design reviews (TRR, TIM, PDR, CDR, and similar).
· Collaborate with Buyers, Sub-Contracts, and Estimating, and IPT teams to develop outsourcing should-cost analysis and sourcing plans.
· Collaborate with preferred suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to develop and optimize products and processes, providing recommendations that improve producibility and reduce cost.
· Identify and support resolution of supplier gap analysis based on technical & manufacturing readiness assessments to mature the product into a smooth Transition to Production (TTP)
· Perform requirements validations for capability and manufacturability, manage and perform Suppler Issue/risk assessments (DFMEA/PFMEA), and identify mitigation strategies that improve cost, schedule, and quality performance.
· Help identify performance tracking metrics, developing standardized processes and tools for Product Readiness Reviews (PRR) for assessment analysis & tracking.
· Identify cost savings and cost avoidance information for sourcing improvement opportunities.
· Build, maintain and grow a database of potential supplier sources that meet performance criteria based on business mission objectives.
· Benchmark and work with key suppliers to establish effective yield metrics and performance indicators.
· Work with Supplier Development Engineers to ensure supplier quality flow-downs, directives, and requirements are communicated clearly and understood.

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Purchase materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need
· Study market trends, interview vendors and recommend sources of supply
· Solicit and analyze quotations required to satisfy all the requirements of the authorizing source documentation
· Monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries of quality products to maintain production, following up on orders to expedite shipment and delivery as needed

The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Project Manager oversees T&E activities throughout all project lifecycle phases to ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and performance baselines. This position reports to the Program Management Lead for the Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) Pre-Production Development program.
T&E Project Manager Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the technical and program team to develop and maintain a master T&E schedule, including development of test plans, procedures and execution of test and evaluation events.
Establish and manage schedule, financial and performance baselines for T&E activities, including resource allocation across manpower, materials, and subcontractors. Oversee the T&E effort through application of earned value principles.
Support the creation of comprehensive test plans and procedures outlining test objectives, methods, equipment, and exit criteria for developmental, verification and production testing.
Ensure proper setup and execution of testing processes across product lifecycle stages (e.g., component-level to full-system evaluation).
Coordinate test execution at facilities and field locations, managing logistics and resolving site-specific issues
Identify risks related to testing activities, such as potential technical issues, site logistics challenges, or equipment availability. Establish tracking, reporting, and mitigation plans to address test-specific risks and uncertainties.
Act as a key point-of-contact (secondary or primary) with internal and external stakeholders for T&E-related activities

This position will be part of the Systems Integration and Test (SIT) Engineering team focusing on supporting the Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC) Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), next generation hovercraft program. Primary duties would be supporting the rollout of production crafts into testing; troubleshooting a variety of multi-discipline, complex issues throughout testing and systems integration; driving continuous improvement through feedback to design/quality/manufacturing and root cause analysis (RCA); and supporting fielded crafts in concert with our Navy customer.
You will be part of highly skilled, multi-discipline engineering team and, as such, will need the ability to effectively interface and communicate with other team members and across engineering disciplines. This also extends out to the broader team of pilots, test conductors, technicians, and other engineering groups. You will have the opportunity to travel and to contribute to the effectiveness and reliability of systems that are saving lives and protecting our warfighters.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assuring that Companies and products will adequately meet the objectives of the contracts or sales agreements by maintaining surveillance over all phases of the product's cycle from design until successful fulfillment of intended objectives.
Responsibilities
· Plans, organizes and directs the technical aspects of all types of welding processes and issues within the SSC group.
· Directly interface with the product design engineering team to insure design for process and manufacturing requirements are addressed and met.
· Establishes and documents welding processes in accordance with national and military standards/specifications.
· Develops, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of improved/enhanced processes, techniques, and safety procedures for all welding performed within the company.
· Identifies problems with and identifies the resolution of welding processes, issues, and concerns.
· Performs root cause analysis with emphasis on eliminating problems through design analysis, ergonomic issues, and machine/welding/assembly process improvements including equipment/materials purchasing requirements.
· Develops overall quality plans using the systems concept identifying in terms of the product involved, general instructions, test and sampling procedures, specific parts and assembly instructions, material disposition, records, tables, charts, and graphs required.
· Reviews Engineering and Manufacturing information such as new and revised designs, specifications and bills of materials; production, tool and test equipment drawings; production and tool plans; operation and routing sheets; production, storage, and shipping methods; and facility and floor space requirements.
· Plans the minimum quality standards, test, and inspection requirements and process controls.

About This Role
The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for delivering strategic and tactical supply chain activities for our supply base to effectively support all Textron Systems’ businesses across all site locations with a focus on overall external supply chain improvement.
Each team member will develop optimized external supply chain capability, enabling the highest levels of competition among the highest performing suppliers, geographically located; to optimally support our business throughout all phases of the product life cycle with a particular focus on Quality.
This role includes performing: - supplier assessments and development evaluations, supplier identification, and supplier management tasks. Working collaboratively across all product domains to understand the needs of the business and drive supply chain execution and accountability to the highest attainable level.

The Supplier Development Engineer is specifically responsible for driving results with our suppliers across multiple supply categories including mechanical and/or electrical parts and assemblies in all facets of performance, including cost, delivery and quality. Responsibilities
· Develop Relationships throughout the Supply Base and connect that network with Internal customers and drive Quality into the foundation for execution
· Perform and/or participate in source qualification by performing quality management system surveys and special process surveys.
· Solicit supplier inputs into product design, considering design for manufacturability, cost, reliability, parts availability, and more.
· Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA) as appropriate for suppliers.
· Coordinate the effective flow-downs of contractual requirements to suppliers along with alignment on quality codes and performance expectations.
· Execute supplier development strategies balanced across all domains.
· Partner with Sourcing Engineering, Supplier Management, Buyers, and Quality Engineering to ensure a smooth transition to the identified source enabling seamless execution via leading effective Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
· Coordinate with Quality Engineering inspection requirements of suppliers and execute inspection requirements such as first article inspection, managing nonconforming materials, troubleshooting, processing material review board actions, etc.
· Lead management of critical supplier issues to improve overall execution.
· Lead risk assessments via FMEA/Risk Cubes, RCCA, countermeasures and supplier scorecard reviews.
· Perform data analysis and issue reports on supplier performance to ensure suppliers meet and maintain expected performance levels inclusive of quality and delivery.

A Sr Maintenance Mechanic, under general supervision, is required to perform any and all tasks assigned by management based on the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and repair tasks related to facility structure and equipment using diagnostic devices (i.e., torque wrenches, volt / ohm meter, etc.) which are provided by the Company.
Primary work includes troubleshooting/repair of forklifts and vehicles. Needs experience in hydraulics and engine repairs. May include engine tune-ups or other vehicle maintenance with minimal supervision. Certification a plus.
Specific duties may also include mechanical repairs, tubing mechanic work and minor welding; light carpentry, laminating; adhesive bonding of wall panels; painting; changing of light bulbs; general electrical and mechanical tasks such as changing oil filters on equipment, etc.
Work from Engineering drawings, sketches and written and verbal instructions.
May direct the activities or tasks of other employees.
Maintain records, forms and logs as required.
