SUMMARY
The Supplier Quality Engineer will oversee quality assurance processes, implement quality control measures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of protocols and procedures to ensure products are manufactured and assembled to the highest standards. Additionally, the Senior Quality Engineer will lead process improvement activities at supplier facilities to enhance product quality for Lycoming Engines. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads, plans, organizes, monitors, and conducts supplier audits to quality standards (AS9100) in support of supplier selection and improvement.
• Drives effective root cause analyses and corrective actions for Lycoming Engines and its customers.
• Spearheads process improvement activities at supplier facilities.
• Facilitate preventive actions and supplier process control projects that improve the quality of products delivered to Lycoming Engines.
• Compiles and analyzes data to make informed decisions to drive supplier quality improvement.
• Evaluates suppliers’ performance and implements necessary enhancements.
• Works closely with the receiving inspection team to resolve any issues with parts or paperwork from suppliers.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team for supplier review and development.
• Provides a clear vision of supplier quality strategy and processes to supplier teams.

SUMMARY

This role will develop, implement, and maintain protocols and procedures to ensure products are manufactured and assembled to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with Six Sigma methodologies, AS9100 standards, and FAA regulatory requirements. A deep understanding of advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Value Stream Mapping is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
• Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and improve product quality.
• Performs internal audits and supports third party audits (ex. AS9100) to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develops and maintains quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and quality reports.
• Utilizes advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

About This Role
Textron Systems in Blackstone, VA is seeking a Quality Engineer. We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will:
• Support Quality processes in receiving, receiving inspection, assembly, test and shipping areas
• Attend Integrated Product Team meetings to present on Quality priorities, nonconformances, focus areas, and key issues
• Disposition nonconformances in parts, paperwork, drawings, etc.
• Conduct Material Review Board (MRB) submissions on noncompliant material as needed
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and others to report out on defects and identify root cause and corrective actions
• Conduct and report out on periodic quality audits to ensure compliance to process and procedure
• Participate in periodic reviews to report out quality performance and other key metrics
• Analyze production results/inspection data and present findings to the team
• Support the improvement of processes throughout the facility
• Meet with Factory Managers, Planners, Supplier Quality Engineers, Project Managers, and others to find solutions to day-to-day problems and develop formal corrective action requests when required
• Produce/revise inspection instructions/procedures, inspect product when required

About This Role:
A Level II NDT Specialist is responsible for the training, oversight, examination, and certification of Textron NDT Technicians in Visual, Liquid Penetrant, and Radiographic NDT methodologies.
Responsibilities:
• Fabrication Process experience required:
o Expertise in welding fabrication and associated NDT methods.
o Experience in composites and associated NDT methods.
o Experience in DOD or aerospace fabrication facility/programs.
• Proven ability to interpret military or commercial fabrication and NDT specifications is required, with ability to quickly adopt new specification requirements across multiple programs.
• Create, review, and verify processes and procedures for NDT methodologies (UT, PT and RT) to ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
• Evaluate Quality requirements for new programs perform gap analysis based on current capabilities.
• Assist Quality leadership with various audits and compliance projects.
o Experience supporting Nadcap audits is preferred.
• Willingness to travel between company sites as needed to support Level II activities across multiple programs.
• Willingness to inspect production weldments and hardware for acceptance as required.
• Hands on, Production floor mindset and approach.
• Review supplier NDT inspection techniques.

Summary:
The Plans and Schedules/Ramco Administrator will perform Aircraft Logs and Records duties, RAMCO database functions, and associated tasks as part of a team, implementing and maintaining the ongoing requirements of the Aircraft Maintenance Program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate documentation of all Aircraft maintenance tasks in associated logs and records, monitors and updates Aircraft Flight Records, track and notify Maintenance Managers of aircraft component Life Limits, major inspections, and overhaul requirements throughout the life of the aircraft.
- Utilizes the RAMCO System and all supporting tools, content, and technologies, roles, users, security, internal system notifications and other instructional technology user accounts. Reviews the accuracy of documentation of RAMCO System support methods, procedures, and configuration.
- Troubleshoots routine RAMCO network problems. Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated. Reviews the accuracy of documentation of server support methods, procedures, and configuration.
- Training Material: Works with Logistics, Flight operations, Aircraft Maintenance, and Finance staff to provide help resources and training for users, how-to guides, and FAQs related to the usage of the learning of the RAMCO System.
- User & Technology Support: Establishes business relationships with both internal and external clients. Attend meetings, answer questions, and provides technical guidance and/or training to users to ensure the success of the RAMCO System and the tools used in conjunction with it.

Job Summary:
The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for delivering strategic and tactical supply chain activities for our supply base to effectively support all Textron Systems’ businesses across all site locations with a focus on overall external supply chain improvement.
Each team member will develop optimized external supply chain capability, enabling the highest levels of competition among the highest performing suppliers, geographically located; to optimally support our business throughout all phases of the product life cycle with a particular focus on Quality.
This role includes performing: - supplier assessments and development evaluations, supplier identification, and supplier management tasks. Working collaboratively across all product domains to understand the needs of the business and drive supply chain execution and accountability to the highest attainable level
The ability to travel is a catalyst to support our growing network of top performing suppliers, building relationships, competence and trust to support the development and delivery success of the many state-of-the-art Textron product lines, and when needed, engage in problem solving challenges that differentiates us from our competition. The network will further extend to capture internal customers in program management, engineering, and manufacturing, whilst teaming with procurement and Quality to provide effective execution.
The Supplier Development Engineer is specifically responsible for driving results with our suppliers across multiple supply categories including mechanical and/or electrical parts and assemblies in all facets of performance, including cost, delivery and quality. This role will report directly to the Manager of Supplier Development within the Supply Chain organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop Relationships throughout the Supply Base and connect that network with Internal customers and drive Quality into the foundation for execution
- Perform and/or participate in source qualification by performing quality management system surveys and special process surveys.
- Solicit supplier inputs into product design, considering design for manufacturability, cost, reliability, parts availability, and more.
- Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA) as appropriate for suppliers.
- Coordinate the effective flow-downs of contractual requirements to suppliers along with alignment on quality codes and performance expectations.
- Execute supplier development strategies balanced across all domains.
- Partner with Sourcing Engineering, Supplier Management, Buyers, and Quality Engineering to ensure a smooth transition to the identified source enabling seamless execution via leading effective Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
- Coordinate with Quality Engineering inspection requirements of suppliers and execute inspection requirements such as first article inspection, managing nonconforming materials, troubleshooting, processing material review board actions, etc.
- Lead management of critical supplier issues to improve overall execution.
- Lead risk assessments via FMEA/Risk Cubes, RCCA, countermeasures and supplier scorecard reviews.
- Perform data analysis and issue reports on supplier performance to ensure suppliers meet and maintain expected performance levels inclusive of quality and delivery.
