Responsibilities:
· Welding of Ballistic Steel materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions. Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.
· Some work will have to pass RT, PT, and NDT type testing.
· Climbing on and over bulkheads, up and down ladders.
· Tack welding (kneeling, standing, sitting, lying, overhead burning of steel, dragging torch line)
· Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.
· Lifting of material and tools (jacks, porta-powers, come-a longs, etc. Also loading and unloading of parts.
· Crawling through vehicle on top of floor plates and through hatch/door openings.
· Bending and twisting of your body as needed to get into different compartments.
· Operation of cranes and forklifts.
· Use of power tools (gougers, skill saws, cut saws, grinders). All require two hands on tools to operate in safe manner
· Walking on top of vehicle roof and bottom plates when position in the rollover fixture to achieve welding on a flat.
· Need to be able to work with your hands.

Job Summary:
The Planning Supervisor will report directly to the Planning Manager and will provide leadership and accountability for the tactical activities of the end-to-end demand entry to delivery process relative to material planning for external supply. The preferred candidate will be an individual with bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Material Planning and Production Control practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of material planning primarily in an MRP environment for external supply and own all associated attributes to effectively plan material and execute on-time.
- Communicate regularly and effectively within ISC and the across the supported program teams to ensure risks and challenges to deliveries are understood and actions being taken to address those risks.
- Create a work culture and environment for Planners to focus on doing whatever it takes to compliantly execute material requirements to achieve on-time product delivery. Strive to achieve a culture of ownership, accountability and pride and through networking and relationship development to embrace the IPT culture focused on one-team and collaboration.
- Work alongside of procurement and sub-contracts teams to ensure alignment of external supply to support the Commodity and Product Factories schedule.
- Participate in SIOP, working cross functionally with the business to determine optimal production plans.
- Work with program teams to aggregate future demand plans for products, and key suppliers to enable partnership establishment with companies in the supply chain and provide forecasts.
- Have a firm understand of bills of material, lead time management, pegging, utilization, efficiency, rated capacity, demonstrated capacity, bottleneck mitigations, critical resource identification and management, economic order quantities, dependent vs. independent demand, capacity requirements planning, ERP / MRP systems, supplier relationships, and VMI.
- Maintain planning metrics and identify process improvement for demand and schedule stability to improve on-time delivery for production to meet customer expectations.
- Understand basic lean six sigma principles and how to best use them to effectively drive continuous improvement efforts and focused culture on improvement. Key focuses will include driving down lead times, consistency and dependability of lead times, reduced requisition compression, reduced variation in execution and forecasts (especially financial), cost reduction, implementation of standard work, and backlog reduction.
- Effectively manage planning exception messages and institute standard work across planning to ensure thorough research is concluded before acting upon the message. Engage closely in data analysis and monitoring supply execution to ensure variation in the process does not create unnecessary supply and when noted aggressively work to emplace preventative methods to preclude future disruption.
- Work closely with Program Managers to understand VOC and establish needed value-stream improvement for business performance improvement.
- Develop and execute strategies to ensure procedural and execution compliance to the FAR and DFARS and subsequent Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) approval resulting from Materials Management and Accounting System (MMAS) reviews.
- Embrace safety and ethical standards as well as talent development to ensure a culture of employee care, nurturing, development and growth.

These systems are experimental and cutting-edge technological advancements that are intended to protect the warfighter in various theaters as well as provide civil support to many commercial applications. This individual may have an opportunity to travel, execute experimental military and civil hardware testing, and grow in their role. The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (ME) manages a team of Manufacturing Engineers who will be focused on developing tooling, resolving and preventing issues in production, and incorporating design changes. This individual will work with their team to correct errors in work instructions and parts allocations real time, eliminating production downtime and inefficiencies. The ME Supervisors will also restructure work scope between build stations as required to maintain an efficient product flow and support production by providing on-the-spot coverage for questions and clarifications on work scope, technical details, or blueprint interpretation. This individual will guide the team in effective review of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) content to prevent future issues from reaching production.
The ME Supervisor will ensure production support departments work together to meet schedule and objectives, develops and maintains relevant team performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies. In coordination with the ME manager, provides strategic direction for short and long-term improvements regarding safety, quality, and cost. § Create and maintain complete material kits, ensuring all components are properly labeled and packaged.
§ Stage kits in designated areas and deliver to production based on schedule and priority.
§ Accurately pick and verify parts, ensuring correct quantities, lot traceability, and revision levels.
§ Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations following inventory control procedures
- Maintain inventory accuracy using ERP or warehouse management systems
- Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities
§ Coordinate kitting and distribution of materials across multiple programs or projects
