About This Role
The Electrical Eng. Technician supports product verification activities through functional, electrical, and continuity testing of cable harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role ensures hardware meets engineering requirements, quality standards, and end-user reliability expectations while enabling efficient production flow.
Responsibilities:
· Perform functional, electrical, and continuity testing on cable harnesses, electronic subassemblies, and electro-mechanical hardware.
· Use test equipment such as multimeters, hipot testers, continuity testers, DIT-MCO, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and automated test systems to verify performance against specifications.
· Interpret and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to execute test procedures accurately.
· Validate workmanship of cable harnesses, connectors, terminations, routing, strain relief, and labeling per industry standards
· Execute step-by-step test protocols, record results, and verify compliance with documented requirements.
· Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances, supporting troubleshooting and root-cause activities with engineering and quality teams.
· Support test fixture setup, calibration checks, and basic equipment maintenance.
· Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to improve material flow and resolve test-related issues.
· Ensure test activities align with safety, ESD, handling, and quality standards.
· Maintain accurate records, including test data, logs, and configuration tracking.
· Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including enhancing test methods, workflow efficiency, and repeatability.

About the Role
Textron Systems Electronic Systems builds advanced test, simulation, and training solutions that support Electronic Warfare (EW) missions domestic and abroad. What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using languages such as C#, C++, Java, and Python.
- Work with embedded systems, including microcontrollers, GPUs, and FPGA interfaces.

We are seeking a talented test engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a major US Air Force Program. As a Test Engineer, you will perform planning, coordination, and execution of component, subsystem, and system level tests as well as other evaluation activities across the program. - Plan, coordinate, and schedule test and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards

For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. We are seeking highly skilled Test Engineers to join our dynamic engineering team. This is an interdisciplinary role, enabling the full life cycle development of our products. This role may include supporting development of new products and product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and development of fielding solutions for our military and commercial customers. Required experience includes hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, and successfully working within a collaborative team environment. A desire to take ownership of design efforts to ensure integration of new technology into our vehicles is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design, development, and execution of tests for products (hardware, software, systems) to ensure quality, functionality, and reliability, creating test plans, writing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams for fixes, ultimately ensuring products meet specifications and user needs before launch
- Test Planning & Design: Understand requirements, define scope, objectives, and resources, then create detailed test plans, strategies, and procedures
- Test Case Development: Write specific test cases and scripts for various tests (functional, performance, security, etc.).
- Test Execution: Run tests, monitor the development and production process, and manage controlled testing environments.
- Defect Management: Identify, document (using bug trackers), report, and track software/hardware and product defects.
