About This Role:
Textron Systems is seeking engineers of all disciplines to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. It’s expertly designed to defeat threats beyond line of sight and comes complete with cutting-edge technologies that will keep adversaries up at night. Cottonmouth was developed using a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) that is Ground Vehicle Operating System (GVOS) based employing the Tactical Assault Kit Extended (TAK-X) framework for easy capability integration. This modern vehicle platform has superior mobility capabilities to tackle treacherous off-road terrain and waterways while keeping Marines safe thanks to its advanced survivability suite and Human System Interface (HSI) focus. Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting strategic weapon system and subsystem technical design solutions for our Advanced Programs. As a Systems Engineer IV, you will perform a variety of assignments including requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, and test. A strong candidate will possess at least 10 years’ experience in a Systems Engineering role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, planning, execution, and test and evaluation aspects of advanced programs, ensuring that all technical requirements are met.

Textron Systems is seeking a Full time Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design focused on transportation packaging. The candidate should possess good communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with suppliers within a multidiscipline team. The position requires experience integrating component design solutions into an overall assembly. This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a secret level security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Writing specifications for, or designing, packaging for transportation, storage and handling of deliverable items weighing from a few to up to several hundred pounds
- Participating in the detailed design of structural components.
- Being a member of a team responsible for the development and design integration of mechanical components and systems.
- Creation of Technical Data Packages that include 3D drawings, specifications and materials lists for component and assemblies of mechanical and electro-mechanical applications.
- Preparing and directing high quality mechanical and electro-mechanical detail and assembly drawings
- Transitioning product design to production and test.
- Writing technical and proposal documents.
- Creating detailed design reports and presentations to summarize design/analysis results.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various systems engineering efforts supporting the development of complex military systems. Your expertise and technical knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the successful design, integration, and implementation of cutting-edge defense technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our military customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering activities for complex electronic systems, from concept to deployment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
- Conduct system requirements analysis, definition, and allocation, translating customer needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design.
- Perform system level trade analysis of different design options including estimated development and operational costs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and subject matter experts, to develop system architectures and design solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Oversee system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with functional requirements and performance objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address technical challenges and ensure system safety, security, and interoperability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones
- Support the preparation of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project and contractual requirements.
