About This Role?

Collaborating?with engineers to write, and debug firmware code to ensure functionality and performance.
Preparing?and maintaining documentation detailing firmware design, functionality, and test procedures.
Working?with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, to identify and resolve issues.
Participating?in design and code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback to improve firmware quality.
Current enrollment?in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering programs.
Working knowledge?of one or more of the following: SystemVerilog, VHDL, Python, C, Digital Systems, and Electrical Circuits.
Firmware development: Gain hands-on experience in writing and debugging firmware.

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Support the Navy customer to maximize up time and minimize recurrence of issues
Review engineering drawings, designs, specifications and products for assessment of system
Create, maintain, and communicate through documentation on all efforts
Analyze and maintain interface control documents and other technical documents required to troubleshoot the craft
Familiarize and analyze applicable MIL-STD, MIL-DTL, MIL-HDBK, and similar standards documentation related to craft design
Independently assess complex issues crossing multiple craft systems
Analyze electrical, mechanical drawings and apply data to ongoing troubleshooting
Analyze textual vendor and customer documentation and apply to ongoing troubleshooting
Develop imaginative, thorough, practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult system or systems problems

A Day in the Life of a Systems Engineer Co-Op:
Working in an interdisciplinary role, enabling the full life cycle of successful systems
Performing requirements analysis to understand customer needs
Developing architecture models to support requirements development and derivation
Working across engineering disciplines to develop conceptual designs that solve hard problems
Performing hands-on integration of components and subsystems into Ground Vehicles
Developing integration test plans and procedures to verify product integration
Performing analysis of data extracted from testing
Driving tasks to completion independently

Ruggedized tools and tests develops and produced RF and EO/IR devices that help insure that military aircraft can safely perform their missions. These devices test the communications and aircraft survivability equipment that keep the warfighter in the air

Creating electrical schematics, harnessing design, and drawings in CAD system such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks?
Performing engineering calculations, writing specifications, formulating sketches, testing criteria, failure analysis, and cost estimates. ?
Providing technical support to both internal and external customers for technical data package delivery.?
Supporting Prototype build, troubleshooting and documentation as required.?

As an electrical engineering co-op, you will perform a variety of assignments including conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed sub-system electrical design, integration, test, and manufacturing and field support. A strong candidate will possess a broad range of engineering skills and could perform as an individual contributor or as a team lead. A Day in the Life of an Electrical Engineer:
Textron Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Land Domain Ground Robotics team. We want engineers who have the passion to apply a diverse set of technologies and skills to create indispensable robotic solutions. Work is conducted on research and development initiatives that enable our ground robotic products and programs. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Fulfilling daily responsibilities including research and trade studies, developing electrical design concepts, performance calculations and simulation, and hands-on support of testing and troubleshooting
Opportunities that range from analog and digital circuits, fabrication and assembly, computer architectures, PCB design, debugging of electrical assemblies
Designing, documenting, and upgrading robotic systems to include critical vehicle electronics and mission payloads.
Some travel required to support customer demonstrations and product readiness.
