A Sr Quality Inspector is performing a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and/or electronic inspection and test operations to determine adherence to standards, specifications, drawing requirements, procedures, etc. on any or all types of procured and production equipment, subassemblies, components, or assemblies as directed.
Responsibilities:
• Inspection and test of parts, materials, components and systems in one or more of the following areas: Receiving, Shipping, Stores, Weld/Fabrication, Assembly, Testing, Calibration, Radiography, and Coating Inspections.
• Visually examinations by means of instruments, gauges, jigs, templates or other measuring devices to include nondestructive test methods to ensure adherence to standards, specifications, drawing, etc.
• May operate standard calibration and test equipment.
• Rejects parts, materials, assemblies, equipment, tooling or components which do not meet requirements.
• Performs and may assist/train other inspectors in inspections, non-destructive testing, x-ray, calibration, coatings, and observations and functional testing (including electrical, mechanical, structural etc.)
• Reviews software data on vendor supplied items to determine acceptability.
• Generates Quality reports, completes Inspection Check Lists, nonconformance documents, calibration reports, x- ray, and other Quality documents/records as applicable to the specific area assigned.
• Adheres to all safety requirements, departmental instructions and TMLS Policies and Procedures.
• Interface directly with all levels of the organization, suppliers and customers, as appropriate.
• Performs any and all other duties assigned by management.

Structural and Welding Inspection and defect identification through VT, PT and MT methods to determine adherence to standards, specifications, and drawing requirements. Experience in Visual, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle inspections across all three methods is preferred.

- Approach assignments with a high ethical resolve, ensuring reputable standing with our onsite customers.
- Ability to implement NDT inspection methods in accordance with written procedures.

The Crewed Land Systems business is seeking a Subcontract Project Manager for the Slidell, LA location. The Project Manager will own a subset of acquisitions for a major defense program, under the supervisor of a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, and work within a highly collaborative and dynamic Crewed Land Systems SCM & Program Office.
This role requires excellent organization, teamwork, and communication skills to ensure supplier program execution that meets mission objectives. A successful candidate in this role will be action-oriented, have strong written and verbal communication, and exhibit a team mentality.
Responsibilities:
The Subcontract Project Manager will have responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Partnering with Program Mgt to consolidate subcontractor contractual requirements and specifications into accurate comprehensive requests for proposal (RFP) prior to the issuance of RFPs to prospective subcontractors.
- Examining bid responses and initiating cost and pricing analysis using results thereof combined with program objectives to develop negotiation strategy and negotiate price, terms and work scope.
- Negotiating, placing, and managing of complex, high dollar subcontracts within a government acquisition environment, including both cost and fixed price material and service type subcontracts.
- Originating formal subcontract documents and coordinating inputs and approvals from both functional and programmatic leadership stakeholders including all pertinent government Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements when applicable.
- Understanding the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and critical path for the supplier subset of the program and executing any mitigation efforts to ensure on-time / early completion of tasking.
- Managing the financial, technical, and schedule requirements of subcontractor program components to deliver products that are technically acceptable on-time and in a cost-effective manner to Contract requirements.
- Monitoring subcontractor performance, identifying issues early on to implement corrective actions with the Supplier Development team
- Participating in program meetings, obtaining data and requirements which must be transmitted to or obtained from subcontractors via correspondence or telephone.
- Working creatively to solve supplier and external customer problems and communicating program progress both internally and externally.
- Facilitating, maintaining and controlling all correspondence between Textron Systems and subcontractor.

- Welding of aluminum materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions. Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.
- Climbing on and over bulkheads, up and down ladders.
- Tack welding (kneeling, standing, sitting, lying, overhead burning of steel, dragging torch line)
- Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.
- Lifting of material and tools (jacks, porta-powers, come-a longs, etc. Also loading and unloading of parts.
- Crawling through craft on top of tees and through manholes
- Bending and twisting of your body as needed to get into different compartments.
- Operation of cranes, forklifts
- Use of power tools (gougers, skill saws, cut saws, grinders). All require two hands on tools to operate in safe manner
- Walking on tops of frames and tees (uneven walking surfaces)

Production Planner
A Production Planner will work in the capacity of a Factory Planner, Material Planner, or Production Control Analyst depending on the business need. A Production Planner ensures that production requirements are met daily through analysis and reporting of production status, material supply/ demand alignment, and forecasting impacts. This individual will work with the management team to ensure that deadlines and schedules are met thereby preventing line stoppages and delays.
Responsibilities:
- Create, release, and update Discrete Jobs (DJs) based on analysis of Production needs, capacity, schedule, and sequencing, including regularly scheduled work and emergent requirements.
- Review material availability and perform necessary steps required to maintain schedule, including material transfers and purchase requisitions (PRs).
- Continuously review DJ start/stop dates and update as necessary.
- Plan, review and maintain production progress, to include supporting and facilitating production teams to meet daily and weekly production requirements.
- Create/maintain Production Control Boards for each craft.
- Recommend corrective action needed to maintain production schedule.
- Work closely with other departments, (i.e., Production, Warehouse, Supply Management) to manage the product flow to meet deadlines and prevent line stoppages and delays.
- Makes sure that required parts or assemblies reach the installation point at the proper time in the proper sequence and in sufficient quantity, in keeping with the schedule.
- Assess and determine reasons for delays in delivery of parts and recommends possible corrective action.

About This Role:

In this role, the Contracts Specialist shall proactively provide support to contract management and directors of a particular in administering USG DoD contracts. Under the direction of leadership, they will support all aspects of contract management throughout the contracting process, from pre-proposal activities through contract closure. In performing this role, the Contracts Specialist will:
· Support the review and risk analysis of solicitations and terms and conditions and coordinate with their supervisor.
· Participate in bid/no bid decisions and proposal review meetings.
· Review cost proposals, maintain cost and pricing data records for TINA compliance, support fact-finding, DCAA audits, and negotiations.
· Proactively administer a variety of USG DoD contracts of all types (cost reimbursement, fixed price, incentive, award fee, IDIQ, time and material, etc.) and modifications thereto.
· Prepare and coordinate business correspondence, generate required contract-related reports, and maintain accurate and complete contract files and records for the company.
· Remain actively engaged with (and serve as an integral member of) designated program teams and develop strong interfaces with personnel located at other business sites in Slidell, LA and Hunt Valley, MD in other functional areas.
· Participate in program reviews, monitor program performance (contract schedules, deliverables, funding, invoicing, and payments), and notify contract managers or directors of potential non-compliances or other problems that could have an adverse impact on the company.
· Identify and administer contract changes, and coordinate resolution of contract issues with your supervisors.
· Actively administer the closeout of completed contracts.
· Ensure contract management activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and customer requirements.
· Ensure coordination with Legal on contract matters that may have legal significance (such as, identifying to Legal non-standard or potentially high-risk terms and conditions) prior to advising management of contractual risks, rights and obligations, and terms and conditions interpretations.

The Quality Engineer supports various activities, including product design, quality planning, production processes, data analysis, and metric development. Additionally, the role involves identifying root causes of issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous process and product improvements to enhance overall quality.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews customer contracts on simple to moderately complex projects; responsible for requirements analysis, identification, and definition.
- Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
- Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.
- Participates in product development and design document reviews targeting DFX
- Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc.
- Partner with manufacturing to ensure the plans achieve what is designed on the drawings and the appropriate inspections are placed in the plans to ensure compliance. Report out on defects and with Manufacturing Engineering identify and correct root causes.
- Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s).
- Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).
- Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.
- Performs Material Review Board (MRB) disposition and tracking activities.
- Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
- Provides status inputs to the Cost Account Manager for tasks performed. May perform CAM function for small to medium projects.
- May perform QA estimating for small to medium, less complex projects.
- Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues.
- Conduct and report on quality audits, ensuring the Quality Management System is corrected to address findings. Analyze production results/inspection data for trends and possible corrections to bring the processes in line.

· Collaborates with Engineering on desired production tooling and build-plan methodology and gives input/feedback on associated design criteria; analyzes engineering design to determine manufacturability of components and assemblies
· Guide and determine manufacturing processes, tooling methodology, discrete manufacturing operations and associated time standards to be used to produce new parts/assemblies from detail component fabrication thru job-level installation; authors and maintains process plans for shop floor methods/work instructions
· Develops learning curve and actual hour projections for new program production incorporation; analyzes actual performance and makes necessary process improvement recommendations
· Oversee process to create manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) to break engineering product structure into logical manufacturing methodology and sequence to enable MRP processes for order release, scheduling, and purchased component sourcing activities
· Provides technical guidance to initiate and drive Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) on production issues related to engineering design, material, tooling, specifications and processes
· Analyzes/Interprets engineering drawing, manufacturing operation sequence, tooling function, and process specifications
