Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Applications and Business Partnering, the IT Manager is responsible for planning, service execution and oversight of technology that supports business operations at Lycoming. The candidate must be able to balance daily operations and project work in a large scale, highly complex, cross-functional operating environment. The candidate should possess a natural enthusiasm for IT, diverse technical experience, business acumen, and strong customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities:
· Accomplish team results by developing talent and leading a team of IT professionals with varying levels of experience. Sets individual objectives to match departmental objectives
· Partner and consult with business leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve goals
· Facilitate the design and implementation of enterprise class IT solutions
· Oversee development projects, including application design, development, testing, and deployment
· Provide technical and analytical guidance as it relates to IT infrastructure, business systems, application functionality, user acceptance testing, change management, and data integration
· Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
· Manage multiple concurrent technology projects
· Ensure systems meet or exceed agreed upon SLAs and OLAs
· Provide application/system outage support
· Work closely with IT Oracle Developers, end users, business leadership, ITRM
· Liaison with shared support teams at the business unit, enterprise, and with third party vendors
· Support E&Y and Textron Audit Services (TAS) audits
· Adhere to change control policies and procedures as well as system, software development, and project management lifecycle methodologies
· Work closely with IT security to mitigate risks associated with infrastructure systems
· Safeguard assets by ensuring appropriate disaster recovery and back-up procedures, vulnerability management, and information security and control structures
· Create and maintain IT process documentation
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

About This Role
The Sr IT Apps & Bus Partner is responsible for the development and management of business, organizational, and/or operational requirements as well as overseeing the design, development, and launching of business systems in support of core organization functions and business processes. This team member elicits, analyzes, validates, and documents business requirements and helps the project team identify the solution that meets the defined requirements. Solutions often include a systems development component but may also consist of process improvement or organizational change. They will often mentor analysts and associate analysts and contribute ideas and thoughts to IT Leadership. They also contribute to on-site end user services and support. This position will be on-site at the Lycoming Engines manufacturing plant in Williamsport, PA.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the gathering of business needs for large-scale projects that will vary from medium to high levels of complexity
· Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications
· Document detailed and concise descriptions of business and technical requirements
· Lead the design of solutions for large-scale projects through interactions with the business and technical staff
· Collaborate with both the business and IT staff in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications
· Conduct structured analysis of business process and data flows, using various modeling techniques, and assist in business process redesign when needed
· Develop business cases for proposed solutions and develop a full financial analysis
· Develop test scripts, test plans, and scenarios, and test solutions against business requirements
· Monitor development activities and assist IT Manager in controlling the execution of project plans to complete projects on schedule and on budget
· Provide presentations by preparing clear and well-organized material with the appropriate level of detail to facilitate departmental or inter-departmental communication
· Service ticket fulfillment, End user support, documentation, and training
· Technical troubleshooting and issue remediation for computer hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, audio/video presentation technology, various peripherals, and basic network equipment
· Designing, implementing, and maintaining IT operational processes & procedures, best practices, and customer service guidelines with a focus on continuous improvement
· Supporting executive management and on-site executive meetings
· Identifying repeated tasks as candidates for process automation and working across IT teams to implement

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Be the initial IT point of contact for end user services, using critical thinking and process adherence to quickly assess and triage incoming requests and incidents
· Delivering outstanding service to all business users through service ticket fulfillment, supporting activities such as onboarding and offboarding, software application support, PC and mobile device support, process documentation, and user training
· Account provisioning and access management – provisioning and reclaiming access to network and applications in accordance with IT and cybersecurity requirements to ensure secure and efficient IT environments across users and systems.
· Asset management including PCs, printers, and peripherals, ensuring owner and state accuracy, OS currency, and security controls are met
· Technical troubleshooting and issue remediation for computer hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, audio/video presentation technology, various peripherals, and basic network equipment
· Ticket queue management to ensure timely initial contact, assignment and closure of incidents and requests, maintaining team workload, and tracking resolution accuracy
· Identifying and collaborating across IT teams, including application teams, corporate IT, and third-party providers to deliver solutions for advanced customer inquiries and challenges.
· Designing, implementing, and maintaining IT operational processes & procedures, best practices, and customer service guidelines with a focus on continuous improvement
· Working collaboratively with IT application teams, end users, business leadership, corporate IT, and third-party IT service providers
· Identify and implement process automation to reduce manual repeated tasks and optimize efficiency across the team
· Develop and maintain ticket metrics to measure ticket resolution status, ensure we are meeting target Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and identify focus areas of improvements
· Conference room software and hardware support, and hands-on support for meetings
· Supporting executive leaders and on-site executive meetings
· Actively participating on various IT strategic project teams and drive timely delivery of key milestones
· Vendor relationship management for hardware, software, service and audio/visual support
