Larry D. Randle Jr. is Senior Vice President, Marine Systems for Textron Systems, as well as a member of the Textron Systems Executive Leadership Team. In this role, Larry leads execution of Textron Systems’ Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC) program of record for the U.S. Navy, which is manufactured at the company’s New Orleans, Louisiana shipyard. The SSC program is an Acquisition Category 1 program of record that will equip the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps with 73 of the next-generation air cushion vehicles.
Previously, Larry was the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Textron Systems’ Shipyard in New Orleans. In this role, Larry oversaw the manufacturing and testing of the Ship to Shore Connector for the Marine Systems business.
Prior to transitioning to Textron Systems, Larry was the Director of Operations at Kautex in Avilla, Indiana. In this role, Larry was accountable for the profit and loss and functional leadership of that facility which molds, welds and assembles over one million plastic fuel tanks per year for Ford, General Motors and Toyota. In February of 2017 he took on his first role outside of Wichita as the General Manager of the Textron Aviation service center in Mesa, Arizona. This facility provides maintenance, repair and modification service for Cessna, Beech and Hawker jets and turboprop aircraft in the Southwest U.S. Larry held accountability for the profit and loss, customer satisfaction, safety, quality and all aspects of this facility’s operations and mobile service vehicles supporting the southwestern U.S. Prior to the role at Textron Aviation Larry served as the Vice President of Sales for Piston Aircraft Products for the Western US and Canada. Immediately preceding this role Larry was the Business Leader for the Skyhawk, Skylane and the Turbo Stationair product lines and was accountable for the overall profit and loss, new program development and the strategic vision for these products.
Throughout his career with Textron Aviation, Larry has also served in various other roles throughout the organization such as aircraft completions value stream manager, components fabrication quality manager and senior industrial engineer. Along the way he has also completed the Textron Senior Executive Leadership Program at Duke University, Textron Executive Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina and attained Textron Six-Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certifications.
Larry holds a B.S. Physical Science, Physics from Emporia State University, and both B.S. Industrial Engineering and Master of Engineering Management from Wichita state University. He has been an active community leader throughout his career, serving on nonprofit boards including the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley and South‑Central Kansas, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and the SMC Family Life Center. Larry is a graduate of the Wichita Metro Chamber Leadership Wichita Class of 2013 and was recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as part of its 2016 40 Under 40 and “Emerging Leader” honors.
