Textron Systems’ Aerosonde™ HQ is a vertical-take-off-and-landing (VTOL) variant of the company’s proven Aerosonde Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS). Within the coming months, the U.S. Army will receive Aerosonde HQ systems as part of their Brigade Combat Team evaluation – which is the first phase of the Army’s Future Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (FTUAS) program. 1. Aerosonde HQ deploys in 20 minutes or less.

With a crew of four, the complete Aerosonde HQ system can be offloaded from a 463L pallet, assembled and launched in 20 minutes.

2. Successfully demonstrated TASE400 LD payload.

Offering customers battlefield sight and awareness both day and night, the TASE400 LD payload is able to locate, identify and engage long-range targets.

3. Powered by a proven Lycoming EL-005 heavy-fuel engine.

The purpose-built Lycoming® EL-005 heavy-fuel engine delivers benchmark-setting reliability for Tactical UAS.

4. The Aerosonde HQ conducts point launch and recovery in confined areas.

Obstacle clearance and transition to horizontal flight up to 150 feet above ground level.

5. The system can operate up to 10,500 feet density altitude.

The Aerosonde HQ has a transition altitude 50-150 feet above ground level.
