About This Role
Textron System, Electronic Systems is seeking talented Test Engineers. You will be part of highly skilled multi-disciplinary team developing and maintaining highly complex electronic systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Lead setup, operation, and maintenance of RF simulation equipment, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other laboratory test instrumentation.
• Plan, coordinate, schedule and lead test and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards.

About This Role
Textron System, Electronic Systems is seeking talented Electrical Engineers (EE) to design and develop complex hardware solution for a variety of technical problems. Electrical Engineers engage in a variety of technical projects of moderate scope including schematic capture and circuit card design, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware and firmware design and development, and embedded microcontroller design and development. Additionally, EEs are expected to create, maintain and follow Interface Control Documents (ICDs), specifications and test procedures for circuit card assemblies and system integration.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Solving complex problems that may require research and analysis of alternatives involving many factors.
· Working independently to determine and develop innovative solutions.
· Contributing to and/or ensures the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
· Working with schematic capture tools such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner.
· Designing VHDL code for FPGAs (Altera/IntelPSG and/or Xilinx).
· Developing code for embedded microcontrollers (Atmel, Microchip, etc).
· Writing interface control documents, specifications and test procedures for designs.
· Reporting status including schedule progress and problems/issues.
· Working closely with hardware in a lab setting, and debugging using lab equipment (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Digital Oscilloscope).
You will be part of highly skilled team and need to interface with other team members, including those of other engineering disciplines. About This Role
The Naval Nuclear Propulsion Systems Engineer is a highly motivated, self-driven team player with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, start-up environment. The Systems Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who provides the engineering staff with systems concept of operation including interactions between systems and how each system is trained. The Systems Engineer will conduct test and evaluation activities to verify and validate training system functionality, physical fidelity, performance, and contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with nuclear propulsion plant systems. The ideal candidate will have qualified as an Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) and served as a training instructor to include Team Trainer Operations. Experience at the Nuclear Power Training Unit located in Goose Creek, SC and qualification as plant engineer is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Provide engineering teams with knowledge of all system operations.
• Make recommendations on changes to the training system to keep them concurrent with the boat.
• Analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design modifications or new system applications.
• Review and evaluate existing mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the Navy.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the customer, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Job Summary:
Come join the team to work as an integral part of the Lycoming engineering team to support existing engineering frameworks and project initiatives to meet the evolving demand in digitization, electronification and modernization of the propulsion sub-systems in the general aviation space. The selected individual will be responsible for developing software solutions for various products in their respective design lifecycle.
The selected candidate will interface with Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering on a regular basis; meanwhile interface with Customers and Suppliers on an as-needed regular basis. Participation in onsite visits to customer or supplier locations as engineering representative may be required on an as-needed basis.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
· Utilization of graphical programming language primarily LabVIEW to augment existing SW product offerings for customers
· Software requirements and specification development to support cross-functional engineering development and verification activities
· Test case development and implementation in HILSIM environment for hardware-software verification and validation of various engineering programs
· Interface with Production team to develop, augment existing test stand software capabilities

About This Role

Specialist in Structural and Welding Inspection and defect identification through NDT methods including Visual Inspection and Dye Penetrant Inspection to determine adherence to standards, specifications, and drawing requirements. Prior experience in aluminum welding preferred, with capability to detect defects in both large weldments and small, detailed parts. Experience with MIL-STD or AWS acceptance criteria required. Marine experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Approach assignments with a high ethical resolve, ensuring reputable standing with our onsite customers.
- Capable of discerning rejectable weld defects by grading in accordance with given acceptance criteria.
- Ability to implement NDT inspection methods in accordance with written procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process plans to determine product acceptability.
- Visual examinations by means of instruments, gauges, jigs, templates, or other measuring devices to include nondestructive test methods to ensure adherence to standards, specifications, drawing, etc.
- Experience conducting in-process weld inspections such as VT/PT of root/fill passes, backgouges. Etc.
- Generates Quality reports, completes Inspection Check Lists, nonconformance documents, calibration reports, x-ray, and other Quality documents/records as applicable to the specific area assigned.
- Adheres to all safety requirements, departmental instructions and TMLS Policies and Procedures.
- Interface directly with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers, as appropriate.
- Comfortable being audited on NDT Process adherence by Government customer.
- Performs any and all other duties assigned by management.
